If that happened during the day while you weren't trying to sleep, might I suggest talking to your physician about narcolepsy? Or possibly some other neurological issues that may be going on, like issues with when your REM sleep hits if you are currently sleep deprived. Sleep deprivation can lead to micro napping that just happens during the day. If it happened while trying to sleep, it could very well be sleep paralysis.

Who doesn't like a little horror before bed? Entity was pretty cool, I liked all the variety in enemies and how you had to deal with them. Safety Blanket wasn't as scary, but it was a clever use of a fairly simple mechanic and its application was nice.

Shadow "face her and she'll be gone, turn your back and she'll get you" is actually a reference to a book, Tales from Earthsea I think? This, or the book from series "Wooden sword, diamond sword"(or something along the lines.) At some point mc summons something from another dimension, his full copy, and it's only wish is to kill him. It follows him around the world, when he runs, becoming stronger each day, and then when he decides to face it, it cowers in fear and is easily defeated.

Entity is based off the phenomenon Sleep Paralysis And the creatures are things that you see during Sleep Paralysis Sleep Paralysis happens when your eyes are open but you are still asleep so that’s why you can’t move. You see creatures or things because you are dreaming. It is a very weird and scary experience.

For EntIty, It seems like the cursor of the player is somehow the girl's attention. Maybe she has some form of Telekinesis, that has just awakened. All those energy creatures were always there, but imperceptible before her "awakening" That would explain why they suddenly wanted her. dead.
