I visited a dairy farm in Pune together with a friend Darshana from Pune. It was horrible to see what the animals have to bear for humans consumption of milk.
Just to make it clear: I have nothing against India or Indians. My own husband is from India. I have only a problem with animal exploitation no matter where it is. Life is not better for cows in the west, like Europe or the USA. Dairy calves also get separated after birth, then put in veal creates and slaughtered. Adult cows never again see their calves and have a horrible life. All people on this planet must go vegan.

You should not buy milk and dairy products anymore. There are too much suffering and HIMSA in milk products.
Dairy products are very bad, not only for the suffering animals but also we destroy our beautiful planet earth with animal agriculture. Animal agriculture is the leading cause of climate change. Additionally, with animal product including milk, we destroy our own health. Milk is not healthy! Read the latest scientific research papers. Only vegan whole food plant-based food is healthy.
If you really love cows then care for them in a way that the animals can have a naturally good life. Rescue a street cow of buffalo. Give them space where they can roam around freely, give them good food, don't take their milk, don't make them pregnant, let them live as long as nature has destined their life.
Inform other people, your local community and your family how cruel the dairy industry is. This cow stable is not an exception it is the rule, so it makes no sense to take action against them. What we need is a long-term sustainable solution.
Only a behavioral change in humans will change in the long-run. Ahimsa (without force) starts on our tables.

The making of almond milk is very easy. 1. Soak 15-20 almonds over night. 2. Put them the next day in a blender with less then a liter water. Maybe 750 mg. 3. Strain the mixture through a cloth into a container. 4. Put some jaggery or another sweetener into the milk. 5. You can flavor it with Cardamom but that is not necessary. 6. Ready is your almond milk. - With the rest in the cloth you can make sweets like Laddus if you mix it with coconut flakes.

Sure, not everyone is like this. I am also a former goat and sheep milk dairy farmer. Therefore I know what is always the same: 1. You have to separate mother can calf, otherwise the calf would drink the milk alone. That alone is creating suffering. 2. The male calves are always useless for a dairy farmer. The farmer wants to get rid of the male calves as soon as possible. There are many ways to kill a calf. ---> Be honest you as a dairy farmer, are you causing himsa? What are you doing with the male animals? Are you selling them? If you are honest, you will see and understand the problem.

No, this thinking is not correct. The problem is this: A cow gives milk only if she was pregnant and gave birth to a calf. Then you have two cows. What are you doing with the new cow? If the calf is female you would sell it probably to another person who makes her pregnant and uses her as a dairy machine again. If the calf is male, it is useless for the family. Nowadays only very few male calves are used to work on the fields and only in villages. Otherwise the male calf is useless and the family will try to get rid of the male calf. There are many ways to kill a calf ... Stop with your excuses and see that humans are using every species on this planet to exploit.
