I rooted for Jason Voorhees. Mostly because the other characters are just terrible people except for a minor few who did not deserve it. With Megan, she is merely protecting her friend but she is also mentally a child. An incredibly intelligent one. She also seems like an interesting character.

The first trailer indicates that the thing has emotion, or something like it. A stupid idea- logic can override emotion and vice-versa. Rather than being designed violating Asimov's laws, I think that instead its more likely that they didn't anticipate the effects of something like emotion on a rigid logical framework- emotion is subject to the randomness of life- chasing a boy into traffic doesn't make much logical sense, but emotionally the threat is escalated and concessions will inevitably be made. Over time this can erode essentially every protocol until the thing identifies as independent, since that is the best logical and emotional step to take to ensure its function.

Why the hell an android, which is supposed to be company for children, has so much strength and agility? Seriously, did they really think this was a good idea? I can't believe they were so stupid not including Asimov's 3 laws in her programming. Despite having good intentions, the aunt made a huge mistake in wanting M3gan to fully protect her niece from emotional and physical harm. This is impossible.
