I really think the PS2 style graphics need to make a comeback for AA studios... Would help budget and time restraints.

What the heck, i just bought this game and now KZbin recommends me this review. I remember playing the demo for this game over and over on my first Pc back in the day and loving it.

It’s not a bad game for sure, but it’s far from a great horror game in my opinion. Also nice profile picture.

It looks like Eternal Darkness.

Looks and feel more like an adventure game with "some" pseudo-horror elements... Maybe, if it would have been made more has a parody game, like being cheesy on purpose, like a class-b movie, it could have been a better game

Sadly so, it's just a bit unoriginal.

While I certainly agree that this game is flawed, I don't agree that it's quite that bad. I'm a perspective/expectation guy, and going in knowing this was a PS2 era budget title that you can play for pennies on the dollar, I actually had some enjoyment with it. I do think it will depend on how hardcore one is into the survival horror genre though. As I believe only those people will get into the C tier deep cuts like this.

My expectations weren’t exactly high going in and I wanted to be kinder to it, but time and time again I couldn’t really justify giving it points for things it really didn’t seem to do. I was bored during the boat section, which I think is about the worst thing you can be in a horror game. The rest of it was still fun to play though.

I agree with you, bud. Back then, technology limitations prevented some developers from realizing their potential.Despite their limitations, they have captured the tone and environment that make the game intriguing. I have this on GOG and should give it a try.
