Horror Short Film "The World Over" | ALTER

Hello everybody! I'm the director of this little ditty. When this premieres, I'll be in the hospital with my wife waiting for my first baby boy to arrive! I promise to try my best to pop in whenever I can to answer any questions or just say hi. Wish us luck! And I'll be sure to post baby pics on my social media. Everyone worked very, very hard on this film to get every detail just right, which was necessary when shooting and combining the multiple universes. It was not an easy feat, and I owe the success of it all to the diligent efforts of my wonderful cast and crew. Tell me what's your favorite scene? I loved this!!! Making each version of Cass and Jules just slightly different in appearance yet different in personality absolutely flawless! And using the different sport balls was such a small thing yet big in letting the viewer know it was different. Would love to see more like this!!!

i absolutely agree that’s why i love short films, but with this one in particular.. if there was a movie made on this i do believe it would actually be a good film as there are similar movies with this concept that is really good so this one would succeed. i was curious and wanted to know more with this film so a longer version would be awesome!

That doesn't make sense, and why didn't the current Cass listen to her other self and seal up the key hole and never use the key again. If i understand correctly, the portal was left open .. which caused the last 2 random Jules & Cass to slide through .And why did the last 2 cass & Jules commit murder .

@@gemstar7286 maybe she didnt seal it up because then Jules cant return. The last 2 are probably from different universes too. The murdering Jules come from a world where Cass disappears, vice versa for the murderous Cass.

@@gemstar7286 Sealing up the keyhole doesn’t prevent Others from coming into your world, just prevents you from world jumping. Second Cass even said that she and her Jules had sealed up their hole and was annoyed that others had not. So, sealing the hole doesn’t stop unwanted visits from Other Casses or Juleses. She even pulled the key out in her world (with dead Second Cass) to close the portal. But Third Cass (and presumably Third Jules, if he entered after our Cass) had opened the portal from their sides.

Very, very interesting take on the multiverse/mirror reality concept. You did an excellent job, not only with the plot but also with the cinematic/direction choices and execution, I am not an expert but I can tell that this movie looked "professional". The sequence at 6:50-7:00 deserves to be mentioned: that is one talented director! About the ending: what happens? Did the pregnant Cass manage to close the door shut?

Stabbed Cass (weren’t they all pregnant?), went through the door into what she assumed was HER reality I think…and when she grabbed the ball she realized she is in another reality presumably with another Jules and Cass since The writing was now on a baseball instead of a tennis ball. OR she went back to the reality where that other Cass just came through to take her place alone and dying while the Cass who just stabbed her assumes her role as wife and soon to be mother? Just as THIS Cass did to the first killed Cass! Haha in other words…. IDFK lol

Resumidamente pra quem quer saber oque acontece depois que o Jules passa pelo portal ele n volta mais depois de um tempo a Cass fecha o portal porém depois de mt tempo ela entra em depressão pensa em se matar mas logo depois reabre o portal e vê uma versão dela mesma e pergunta onde está o Jules ela fala que ele está fora e que esse n era o Jules que ela procurava pois mts versões dela já tinham ido lá mas cada uma tem o seu Jules logo depois ela mata a que explicou isso é a substitui um certo dia quando ela está no banheiro um Jules de outra realidade mata o dela enquanto outra dela mata ela no fim ela acha uma bola igual a que ela jogou só que de basebol então ela morre e provavelmente fica em um ciclo vicioso. Flw galera espero que gostem 😃

Quanto as mortes não achei legal. O Autor copiou do Filme /desenho o filme "Caroline" apenas criou uma versão diferente. "Carolina " para quem não conhece é uma menina que passou por uma porta e lá tinha uma menina igual a ela , porém com olhos de botão.

Maybe ask the director that I’m quite sure that the director of the world over can see if magnet releasing can do a film adaptation of the world over short film sorta like what magnet releasing did for distributing the English dub of piggy (2022)

I think it is because they were the ideal matches for each other out of all the versions. I kind of took it too that Cass knew there was a door there all along and just hid it from her...but unfortunately for him...she found the key and the keyhole.
