This video provides easy steps for composting horse manure to reduce nutrient leeching and create quality compost for your property.
Peel-Harvey Catchment Council provided sponsorship to a Landcare SJ and SJ Food & Farm Alliance Equine Manure Composting workshop and our team was lucky to get some time with Robyn from ‘Waste is my resource’, who explains the steps for making a fast, anaerobic compost pile, designed to capture nutrients, reduce resources leeching into the ground water and build a product that can be used on farm or in your garden to create healthy soils and reduce on-farm costs
