I need to teach my young horse how to do this. My biggest worry/fear is that she'll go in then try to turn around and slip. Is it best to teach this in the last stall of a slant load so they can't turn around? Or at least you would hope they wouldn't try it in that small of a space...

Well it kinda depends, like everything does. If its a weaning or yearling ill load them up with the last divider open so they have plenty or room to load and turn around if they want to at first. That way they don't get stuck or feel trapped. For adults ill generally load in the last stall and if they want to turn around ill slip my flag in the trail up by their nose to keep them from turning around (hopefully) On our www.patreon.com/remounthorsemanship site I have lots of trailer loading videos.
