I really enjoy watchinv your videos...this gelding really has a nice handle on him...I hope people really pay attention to the horse crossing his front legs under as opposed to over....I have seen so many riders do this and the hprse develops a hop as well and they think it is s great turn....I tried to tell them what they needed to do to correct this so their horse spins smoothly, but I cannot compare to your teaching videos...they are so informative and easy to grasp the concepts and REALLY understand it....I would like to call it horse training for dummies, but it isn't,.....one has to be smarter than the horse and really understand your horses' conformation and what he is able to do....thanks again Larry.....love your videos and your teaching methods.....keep educating us! Don't stop now...lol

Wow I hate to sound redundant Larry but thanks for the video. I really had a lightbulb coming on moment about that big stop. Never heard it broken down like that before. As someone who’s never been in the show ring side of things I plan to get a membership to help me. I have started more colts than I have finish type work like this. As stated before I am breeding (AI) for one of the best bloodlines I’ve ever had. That is if I can ever get this mare at the right time to the vet.

Question Larry, are there any benifits to teaching a horse to cross under vs over or why wouldn't you train every horse to cross over in a turn or spin? Thanks

I do train every horse to cross over in the spin... unless I'm sure he's definitely going to only do cutting. If he's going to do reined cow horse or reining, the cross over is mandatory.

So if it's strictly cutting horse then you just don't spend the time teaching the cross over because it's not nessesary? That makes sense, thanks!

There is no "one" bit I use. I have many bits and use the ones that best fit the horse at his current stage of training.
