I had the pleasure to see this horse up close and in person many years ago at a Cutting show and he was a spectacular Stallion. And to watch him perform was absolutely incredible. Poetry in motion.

I had the honor to see this great horse many times. I use to haul hay to Manion Ranch and every time I went there i made it a point to go see Smart Little Lena. When I stopped hauling hay to Tommy I never did forget about Smart Little Lena. Rest in peace my equine friend.

Read the news late last night and cried myself to sleep. What a magnificent creature. I will always cherish seeing him win it all at the '82 Futurity. What a wonderful memory. Because of him, the industry will never be the same. Rest in Peace beautiful boy.
