You are so good. Its so clearly visible how much passion, and work goes in to this

It takes a lot of work and practice indeed. And yes, passion is essential ingredient too.

Mounted archery and The Hu... What's not to like 😁 I would love to practice this some day
@UgriArcher Жыл бұрын
😊Indeed! They've got many great pieces but this was fantastic tempo and atmosphere song to canter and shoot to. If interested in mounted archery, one can start with horse riding first. Before first shots in the saddle diligent practise of riding and archery separately is required and pays off.

@@UgriArcher That's my plan. I have riding lessons in my town, but they always seem to be full. I'm looking at alternatives now. Thanks for the advice, keep doing what you're doing, man 😁

That @1:27 was an insane hit! I mean insane because I can't even fathom how this could be pulled off.
@UgriArcher Жыл бұрын
Well, it's basically just an accurate shot. So, no rocket science in the world of horse archery :) But yes there's some extra challenge with the conditions and maneuver itself. We also posted hort clip with slow-motion of this very shot, so it can be marveled even better: kzbin.info/www/bejne/boqpYYGLrc5nkM0si=ofjD1Z9HZ3tDE_Ac

Hello, nice video as always! Want to ask you about your bow from Grozer "Biocomposite Laminated Persian" which you do not use a lot, as I can see from your videos. Is this bow worse than other laminated bows, or may be is more demanding on weather conditions, capricious in storage/temperature changes?
@UgriArcher10 ай бұрын
Hi there! It's no worse by any means. It's an excellent bow to my taste, and I don't have a good reason to tell why it hasn't been shown in the videos lately. But true indeed, being such a precious bow, I haven't dared to try it outside in winter conditions.

have any advise for practicing in a field with no track? Thats all Ive ever done. Ive been thinkn about constructing sum kinda track.
@UgriArcher11 ай бұрын
I like to practise also at open areas with no track, as it builds up your riding skills. The most tricky thing is probably to have the horse going straight so you can properly concentrate on shooting. For that you simply train your horse to run along the border fence of the field, or any relatively straight course you have there. When they are accustomed to that and you can ride them without having to put rein effort in maintaining the direction, you can start shooting. It's way more challenging than running along a track, though. Take it easy and safely.

@@UgriArcher thanks again for the great advice. To eliminate the constant need to steer my horse I tied a loop in the reigns so It stays on the saddle horn and if I need to steer I dont have to grab for loose reigns I jus reach for the knot and move it almost jus like a computer mouse. Its really improved our cohesion alot.
@UgriArcher11 ай бұрын
@@bradydavis6365 Sounds good. Tying a knot to the reins is common practise in horseback archery, and you can then let the knot rest on horses neck too. However, always make sure the horse has the proper freedom to move its head in canter.
