There seems to be some very good bands coming out of Chicago right now. Pretty cool of Horsegirl to give their friends some exposure.

Horsegirl and Lifeguard were touring together through my town recently, and apparently they're all best friends. Very cool to see such young people killing it on stage. I hope they don't get caught up in bad drama, and they continue to make rad music for decades to come!

I discovered this band after seeing them at the Boston Calling music festival just over a week before "Versions of Modern Performance" came out. I immediately knew that this would be something special. The day I got home from the festival I went onto their Bandcamp page and pre-ordered a copy of the album on vinyl. It's probably one of the best purchases I've made. I'm happy to own a zine from this show. It gives such great insight into the band and the bands that opened. I'm very excited to see what they do next.

This was awesome! Loved YLSH, listen to POW a lot, and I'm prob gonna listen to them a lot more! Friko and Lifeguard both gave excellent performances, I hadnt listened to either very much, but am gonna have to start listening to them much more after this, they were both excellent And Horsegirl were also fantastic, a great selection of songs! Listen to them quite a bit, their songs never fail to be catchy as hell These bands are all great and deserve a lot more fame and attention than they have, glad it seemed like a packed crowd!

Option 8 was an early Horsegirl favourite of mine. I’m pleased to see it on this film and delighted by how well the following two songs (ie. Anti-Glory and the cover) work as complements.

what's the song at 4:23 if I don't find it I'm gonna lose my mind edit: just found it, for others interested it's "Get Numb To It!", this live performance has so much frenetic emotional energy though I wish this were other places so I could listen to it easier... although wouldn't mind making the specific choice to listen to this some time. awesome song, thanks for the rec horsegirl :)
