What a blessing for that hay check! Those young ladies are really good hands. The fellas are also good hands and dedicated. It's nice to have a team with such integrity.

Would have loved for you to announce the name in recognition of the very generous donor who gave you the $5,000. Love your dedication and kindness! You’ve got a great bunch of staff and enjoy watching and listening to their input x🦋🌟

I need Travis to come and fix a few things at my place in the UK. I'd ask my partner, but he is a musian and spends his time outside, trying to work out what music he should be listening to whilst working, rather than doing any work! Best wishes for Ms Sybil x

In my humble opinion, doners who need public recognition don't get the tremendous amount of work that goes into a rescue. Also, I believe alot of animal owners are scared to reach out for help when they are in over their heads due to public shaming.

Do you have to keep an eye on the horses for foundering from the alfalfa hay?

Wanting to get another horse for me and that will work two ways. Hubby has a horse and I really think she's getting buddy sour on him. She gets into a little bit of a panic when she can't find him but she is also his medical horse. It doesn't happen often but she stops him from walking if she hears his breathing start to rattle or wheeze. She'll let him start again when she hears it clear. We didn't train her for that she just bonded that well with him.

@horselover89 ours are use to just grass hay and even with that I have to watch to make sure they didn't founder. Mine which I had to put down last year due to someone else's ignorance ( threw out triple washed oats for the birds and my horse got into it) that made her twist her gut. So at about 30-35 she was put down. Now we have our own place and hubby's girl is here with us. We won't feed alfalfa unless it gets below 10-15° usually not till below 0° . Guess we're doing something right 🤔. Have a great day.

@horselover89 I agree with that. We're in Montana,as my brother says we're southern Canadians, lol but I do have mountains all around and love it. It really takes special people to live and servive here. Have a friend that is thinking on moving back to Montana from Tennessee that moved there to help take care of her daughter but now she wants to come home and bring her daughter with. I don't know how I learned it but since I was 16 I've done no stress training and worked with my girl for about a year and had her on hand and verbal commands and then taught hubby to do it for his girl. She's working really well and also does hand and verbal commands. Believe it or not ours were both rescue horses. Our furrier loves doing hubby's girl cause even if she's not haltered he can walk up to her and by the time he gets to her fetlock she's got her hoof up in the air for him to trim.

@horselover89 you have to check areas out. If you're not a city person our little towns could be for you. Certain counties are very reasonable on taxes and living. Both hubby and I are retired and since working so hard to get our credit ect back in a good place, all we have are our monthly bills. We (I guess you could say fell into this place) had everything just fall into place to make everything happen. There are programs here that could help with taxes etc. Give you a little clue,we qualified for a couple programs so our taxes combined for house and land are about $700 a year. Land is a little over 2 acres. And we went driving and Saw

Sorry, hit the wrong thing. Anyway there's some land 150 acres that butts again forest service land, undeveloped, no well, electric ect for $148,000. So there's a little info for you.
