So happy Galileo and Merci went to such great homes along with all the horses and kitten. Watching Dr. Lydia moved to tears was heartbreaking. The vets become so attached to the horses they've tried desperately to save. Hard to say goodbye.

Oh Dr. Lydia, I am so sorry for you---I know you try not to get invested in a single horse, but sometimes one comes along. Remember that you released him from a life of pain & discomfort & gave him love & treats at the end. The fact that someone cared about him at the end is important, & you did that for him. Have a good cry, rhen put your angels wings back on so you and Dr.Gina & the team can lead more horses to their next thing, whether it be adoption or release.

It never gets old! Every time I see adopters in the office signing the paperwork and moving a horse's picture to the other wall, I get goose bumps! Thank you for ALL that you do at HPHS!! I thought it was funny that when the cookies package was being opened by Angela, suddenly the room filled with people!! Word got out FAST that there were treats! Lol

I really liked Merci’s adopter ! She was so excited and seemed just as sweet as the little horse she was getting !! It’s just a good feeling knowing how much the horse will be loved ! Also, I just love Doctor Lydia. Not only is she an excellent vet she just loves the horses and I think that makes a huge difference!!! She’s my fav !! I’ve been a sub since 2020 and patiently waiting for my turn to adopt. Thanks for EVERYTHING you guys do !! 💯❤️👍🙏🐴

Oh my goodness Dr. Lydia, my heart is simply breaking for you honey. I know how hard you wanted Chip to get better and go on to his second chance at a wonderful life. Please know in your heart that you did everything you could do for him, his body was just too far gone at this point 😢. I know how bad it hurts, but I know in my heart that ya'll are making the right decision for him. At least he knew love and kindness at his end. You treat them all as if they were your personal pets. I love the fact that both your doctors collaborate as I am huge on validation before procedure with anything of important. This leaves next to nothing being overlooked for a "surprise" later! Which when you are dealing with a life, could mean not only a disaster in their care, but life threatening as well. Great job ladies! 👏

I find it somehow comforting to see the emotion over having to go with the last act of kindness for your beloved. The trailer loads of unspeakable pain that you deal with frequently have me in tears. I understand that you all Must deal with it and get through it. That you are doing heartfelt service. But watching your ability to get through it all adds to the trauma because I’m sure you are all suffering shock and horror too. Like field doctors in war. Bless you all for the outstanding work you do in honor of the right thing.

I cried all the way through this. Every horse adopted & Cotton the kitten brought such joyful tears. I cried when l saw Chip... but they were the saddest tears. I absolutely loved watching you open all your surprize packages. I wish l could send John some of my stuffed chickens! But l also wish l could come help muck out stalls but l am VERY far away (Ottawa) with no access to a car.😕 Sapphire please don't have any more accidents, and heal quickly sweetheart!🤗♥️ Chip, you suited your name so well, butterscotch chip is my favourite flavour too! I am so so very sorry that you are not still here but l know you are now pain-free and running forever free under The Rainbow. You are My Heroes because you take care of them you give them the last act of kindness if they need it while giving them love and care so that they know that they are Loved before they cross the Rainbow Bridge. So very difficult to give the last act of kindness no matter what the situation. Each horse does get to experience a bit of a good life with gentle and expert care before that decision has to be made. Some decisions come quicker but still not an easy thing to do. I would worry if I did not recognize just how these decisions impact everyone involved at Horse Plus. Tears here, too.

Apparently, Chip had liver, lung and possible metabolic issues going on, as well. You really should watch the entire video. ❤️
