Historic Horseshoe Lake of the Shaker Lakes is a deed-protected and federally preserved lake, promised to the people and needed for bird migration and other wildlife. It the responsibility of the cities of Shaker Heights, Cleveland Heights and NEORSD (Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District) to maintain. It has been neglected. It is being targeted right now for permanant removal, instead of repair/replacement against the wished of citizens and without due process.
