In my opinion, I think that it’s cruel how horses are made jump such high jumps and putting their own health and safety at risk.... there was one horse jumping a water jump and he came down so hard on his ankle that it looked broken.... well done though great video! I love horses toooooo 🥰🐴

The soft tissue of the tounge is a lot better at handling pressure than the nose for example. A hackamore is actually stronger than a bit because it puts pressure on hard tissue with a LOT of nerve endings between thin skin and hard bone. They also have a quite small nose-bone that you actually can break with a hackamore. Snaffle bits are also milder in the sense that it's a lot easier to estimate how much pressure you're putting on the horse. Shanks multiply the pressure from your hands for each centimeter of their lenght. You might think you're riding with soft hands, but you really don't know with shanks. If these horses hadnt been comfortable with their bits they wouldnt be at such a high level. It's a lot more natural for a horse to protect itself than it is to have a human on its back. The fact that they allow it prove that they are okey with it.
