Almost received a penalty for timer running out after pucks n bans just now. I had to pick a Frontline fast had 3secs, I landed horus never played him well, I quickly searched smite horus, scrolled for what I felt what would help me the most, this thumbnail was appealing so I selected this video. We took the victory, and I smacked every opposing enemy. Great video, thank you incon for the shared information and build.

I liked the guide. Horus is my favorite god in the game and I was waiting years for him to finally be put into the game. I wanna add a couple of things though. Another god Horus is having a tough time against is Ares of course. When you get hit by a chain you're not gonna do anything for the next couple of seconds. I think it's worth mentioning that Horus ultimate actually teleports ally gods with him that are already channeling their own ultimate. When Horus ults and there is a Ymir ulting inside Horus' ultimate Ymir gets teleported to the spot Horus travels to. With decent timing you can manage to take a Ymir ultimate with you that will explode the second you land. Same thing for Hades of course. Ymir/Hades are CC immune in their ultimates, but Horus can still pick them up and make them travel with him. It's not that easy to hit that combination but it's fun to try and it definitely is a surprising moment for the enemy team.

Alternative Horus level order: - Only put 1 point in your ultimate, sometimes when necessary wait until level 6 and instead level up 1 a 3rd point for immediate burst damage. Levelling the ultimate doesn't feel great compared to the burst damage from your 1 and 2. - Level 2 second, but at level 8 it's often beneficial to put a second point into your 3 to make the heal actually meaningful. - When behind, it's (imo) better to level the 3.

Runeforged and Hydras (mostly Hydras) turns horus' 2-1 combo into a single target nuke

Rune forge doesn't work with his 1 and the cleave damage from his 2 is too low to justify rune forge.

@@Talbacca it's a stun....and I said runeforged AND Hydras, MOSTLY Hydras......the damage from the cleave doesn't matter, it's the protection shred and stun you're after, which allows his 1 (boosted by Hydras and it's own unique passive) to deal massive damage

@@Talbacca remember: his 1's basic attack stim deals bonus damage (50%) to those who are knocked up....hydras increases his basic attack stim by an additional 40%.....his 2 stuns (proccing runeforged) and shreds protections, allowing your next auto BEFORE you use your 1 to to be boosted by 55% (Hydras + runeforged)...then while their protections are still reduced, use your 1, and while they're knocked up, your stim is increased by 40% and the target takes an additional 50%

Don’t sleep on golden blade Horus. The golden blade procs on every enemy hit by the basic attack wind gust. Since it does 50% damage to all enemies around the target hit, if you hit an enemy with the knock up as well as all 6 minions, you can do about 350% basic attack damage on the enemy god with the wind gust. It’s why I use him in solo lane and the only gods that can beat him in solo lane imo are jorm, Cthulhu and Bellona.

it's sub games, which I understand don't wanna do a guide in ranked when that can be taxing on the mind, but I wish he had a way to at least vet the players he going up against, felt like the last few videos he just stomped the other team

To be fair, the majority of smite games are stomps, one way or another. At least in my experience. Lol. Stomps or a reverse stomp. Toe to toe games are few and far between from what I see usually

So this issue is two fold. Number one you have how snowball prone the meta is. Right now it's still snowball heavy. Secondly, Incon is an extremely good player with a lot of tactical knowledge about the game. Ergo he is very good at building on a lead once he has one. Which is the same for many top level players if you watch anyone else for smite content as well.

I can never find the times and situations to use the ult to it's fullest potential, so I now only put one point into until the last few levels

Hours ult is great late game and very hard to deal damage with if you’re playing against a team that knows what they’re doing. I’ve played horus quite a bit (especially in the solo lane, seriously don’t sleep on golden blade horus solo), and I never put a point in my ult until level 12. I’ve never had a use for it because even when you’re yanked and you want to ult back into tower, you’ll be stationary and the jungle can easily burst you down during that time. It’s best just to use his 2 and 3 to get out. Imo they need to give horus damage mitigation while channeling his ult. It’s not much of a buff but rather a quality of life improvement.
