Hose Repair - Bissell Spot Clean ProHeatPet

The Bissell Spot Clean Pro is a portable extractor tool. It is perfect for cleaning up pet messes or any general upholstery cleaning application. But the hose tends to get worn down and breaks just behind the extractor nozzle. This is a common issue if you read through reviews for this extractor.
In this video I show you how to repair the hose on the Bissell Spot Clean ProHeatPet.
Tools I used for this repair:
Wire cutters
Needle-nose pliers (to remove old hose from nozzle and bend wire end)
Gel Super Glue
WrapIt hose repair tape

Tips: 1. I took off the brush head and the cleaning solution supply hose and it was *much* easier to clean the threads. 2. The hose threads in the opposite of normal screws. It’s counterclockwise to go in. We are not discussing how long it took me to realize that.

That hose material is the brittlest. It seems the company made that way on purpose.

The tape is a good idea if you want to prolong the hose from cracking and don’t mind the look. Id put the minimum amount of glue in case the hose cracks again. Mine was glued in and I had to dig in there to get the old one out. It was terrible. When i trimmed it and put it back I didn’t use much glue and its been fine I just check the head is threaded on the hose the whole way every time before using it. If it wont spin thats good the glue is still doing its job.

The “wire” is the spray hose. You dont want to bend it too much

Hi, could this wire/spray hose be cut instead of bent? I have to repair my hosre and want to insure it’ll work correctly😊

@@Loulski if you trim / cut the outer hose you can trim the inner hose the same amount but less is better which should avoid any bending of the inner hose
