And then repeat this every time you need to service the car! YAY!!!! Cool for a show piece tho.

This is a joke. I could take out the entire engine quicker

That's right folks. Glue and heatshrink tubing keeping your radiator hoses on. Just make sure you only drive your car on and off the trailer which is the only action that Camaro sees, to prevent failure. I appreciate the attempt though. Improved options for radiator hose dress up is a worthy concept.

How the heck do you get it off and on if you need to? Do you have to spend a bunch of money on another kit?
@SDMF50007 жыл бұрын
So many potential future failure options. I think i'll stick to braided hose with AN fittings.

On that particular engine I though the skeleton hose alone looked much better without the skin. You know what they say about pinions and assholes tho! haha
@zee-lv4jh5 жыл бұрын
So if you need to replace a thermostat you buy another hose kit at a ridiculous price. Think I'll stick with real braid

I see bikes in the background. Id like to use the boa clamps on the hd 3/8 oil lines for my fxr build. Any experience running these ? Whats the max psi they are rated for ?

Looks great, if you never want to drive the car. To bad if you have to change a hose or radiator.
@red03golf4 жыл бұрын
So, if there's a leak, or you blow a hose while driving, then everything gets wrecked taking it all apart, requiring new boa clamps, which one may not carry with him/her while driving around = I'll pass. A standard hose clamp doesn't require anything except a blade screwdriver, and I can install & remove 100 times before I have to replace it.

Do you guys make these hoses for modern cars & Trucks because I'm looking for a stainless steel hose for a 2006 F150 XLT
@keithfrazier25585 жыл бұрын
I don't like the braid look, but bought a similar one with out red cover. It looks great, but ever since install in my street truck, it leaks and has to be sealed again every couple years. Someone just needs to make a sleeve that goes over the hose, thats not just braided. The mess it makes on my polished intake, not worth it.

I am trying to understand this? So you're saying take a very nice stainless steel upper radiator hose and cover it with some cloth? Why would you want to do that? Thanks but no thanks.

I gotta say, considering the time it takes to do one hose I could re-sleave a regular hose and put billet ends on it in 1/4 the time, and easily remove and re-install it. This is not a practical product.

Really I would clamp it down then head shrink and when I need to repair it I can just buy heat shrink but you got to clamp it...Ain't no way that's staying on with out clamping it.
@fonzyie7 жыл бұрын
why use rubber hoses at all on cars?
@officialbigboiofdbc7 жыл бұрын
Alfonso D because the engine moves in the engine bay. The reason radiator hoses and such arent just hard lined is because the engines shakes back and forth but the radiator stays still
@Luckingsworth5 жыл бұрын
Because rubber is all you need. This is just for pavement princesses and show cars that dont ever actually do any real driving. When you are putting 15k+ miles on your car every year this will all be caked in grease 75% of the time, even if you properly clean the engine bay, that the looks are pointless.
