Hospice and Palliative Care 101

Never be afraid of going into palliative care. My mother was in one for 13 weeks in the U.K., and they were brilliant with her, giving appropriate care as she grew frailer. She was delighted to have an alcoholic drink (brandy) twice a day, wonderful food, and care that was unparalleled. Her care was a charity and free of charge for her care. We couldn’t thank them enough and think of them regularly following her death in 2003, a while ago, but good hospice memories haven’t faded.
