I’ve spent a LOT of time in hospital over the years. I was diagnosed with an extremely rare liver disease aged 13, and went on to get diagnoses of a rare kidney disease, chronic leukaemia, and I had several strokes at once, all before I was 18. This is so strangely comforting to me. Just sitting and talking to a kind and loving nurse or member of staff always made my day brighter. I’ve cried on many a nurses shoulder as they hugged me! I’m almost 26 now, and things are still difficult, but soldiering on! Thank you for this video x

I was in hospital in Kingston, Canada years ago and during my two week stay, I got ONE muffin. ONE. For the whole two weeks. When I asked for water, the nurse pointed me to get up and struggle to the bathroom sink, which made me throw up from the effort. No change of fresh sheets for two weeks although they had blood on them. So you sound like an angel in a hospital resort in heaven.
@deezireasmr52218 жыл бұрын
+lianne400 Oh my gosh....how did you survive? did your family bring in food? that is horrendous. We have good hospitals in Australia but they send you home asap because there are so many more people waiting for procedures and sick.
@lianne4008 жыл бұрын
+Deez Kneez ASMR Unfortunately I have no kids or family, so if they had seen "family" visiting or hovering, I am sure they would have not been so lazy. Next time, I'm bringing a nanny cam to set up by my bed. If you complain, they give you a "chemical kosh" and sedate you so you lose a few days of conciousness. These nurses have all the tricks. You go past their work station and they have card games on their computers. They seldom are seen walking the wards. Could mean that someone needs help and they would have to actually do so some work.
@deezireasmr52218 жыл бұрын
+lianne400 I am shocked, but hopefully they wouldn't get away with that type of treatment nowadays. I spent six weeks in hospital when I was nine. My memories were of nurses being very kind...although there was one nurse that was a little harsher and always in a bad mood. The food was good. My first experience eating roasted pumpkin and I absolutely loved it. I had to try to explain what it was to my mother when she visited, so that she could make it for me when I got home. A couple of weeks back when visiting mum in hospital, it was lunch time. Roast beef and vegies were on the menu. The roast potatoes looked so scrumptious. I helped her fill out the next days menu and it took me right back to when I worked in a hospital.
@lianne4008 жыл бұрын
+Deez Kneez ASMR Your are very lucky in Australia to be treated like humans. Here, they make it very hideous, but I suspect that a lot of it is done to make people pay for private care, which only a tiny percentage of the population here could afford good hospital/health care. Here we have no dental, drugs, therapy, etc. unless you can pay for it or belong to a private policy. You just have to do without. You have to pay for casts, splints, crutches, etc. Well, you get the picture.

DeeZire ASMR I'm sorry to hear that KZbin has decreased your earnings from them. Amazing what these large businesses get away with. Three years of videos is a lot! I can only binge so many, 3 max on a bad sleepless night. Can't believe it's a year since I first responded here. G'night. 💕🦉🇦🇺

Thank you Deez. My first guess was that it was for a private hospital. You got the ambience right. I'd forgotten about the glass of wine. Much prefer private to public but it's no longer a choice. Always felt taken care of in a private hospital and you brought that sensation back. I bet you were popular with new patients! I see some comments about headphones. Mine aren't so bad until I'm in bed and then it's dig in ear central so I rarely use them. Thankfully I can turn my iPad volume up enough to hear you. Some others are so softly spoken full volume isn't loud enough. Bye for now. 👋🏻
@deezireasmr52218 жыл бұрын
+Narelle Works The hospital where I worked at was both Public and private. You had to be careful when giving out the menus as they were just a little bit different. Making sure the right menu was given to the correct patient. Public patients didn't have the option of wine or beer so the potential was there for them to feel a little envious if they knew the private patients were having a night cap lol. Oh...headphones digging in the ears, ouch, I know your pain. Yep, I definitely need special headphones you can wear in bed. I try and prop pillows around my neck so they don't hurt so much. :)
