You should have discussed Cardiac arrest on ECMO!!!! Now that would have been WONDERFUL!!! On VV ECMO, you start CPR, and you perform ACLS as usual!! ON VA ECMO, Go to full flow, and supporrt the circulation that way!!! This info is lacking on KZbin. They have good stuff on ECMO, but nobody goes into what to do, say your patient is on Half flow VA ECMO, and then all of the sudden, they go into Ventricular Fibrillation, or Asystole! YOU GO TO FULL FLOW!!!

LVAD patients have a nonpulsatile or very low pulsatile flow, traditional techniques of blood pressure measurment are ineffective, instead we could use the same cuff technique but check the flow with a doppler US not a regular stethoscope.
