Another tip: after staining the rice, put the cooked rice back to the kettle and keep in warm for a few seconds. The excess liquid will go and the rice will be without any excess liquid.

I went and googled and I was shocked to find kids cooking Upma , Idilly , Pongal , Dhokla , Momo's , Pasta , Fried rice, Egg curry , Paneer curry , Potato masala , Channa curry , Poha upma , Vegetable soup , stirred fried vegetables and so on . Steamed chocolate cakes , Rava kesari , and what not . Tea / Coffee . The Clearline Instant multicooking kettle comes with vegetable boiler basket , Idilly stand , dhokla stand and egg boiler stand for 1999 /- I'm not sure how safe the plastic stands are .

Does your kettle not have auto cut off? That would make the process more cumbersome, no? How did you manage the first method without it auto cutting off? In the second method, did you add water into the kettle first? If so, you did not show the step.
