@@atlantic_love because Harry Styles is the least credible artist out of all she's drummed for so far!! I would defo drum for new young pony club, Bat for Lashes, Block Party, Hot Chip.... (As she has done) Sorry to sound like her reseme.. But Harry Styles 🙈Since when did he become a credible self made artist worthy of Sarah's drumming?!!

Great to see middle aged men are still allowed to make music if they aren't U2. :)
@durangobrando9 жыл бұрын
+wungabunga Damned right. I turned 40 last year, and I still spin gigs. If a track makes people dance, who cares the age. I can only hope that when I'm 80 I can still make a 17 year old dance. God bless good tunes, and remember to keep it groovy.

You'll be 'middle aged' one day. If you're lucky, that is. Hey, maybe you'll be pissing and shitting yourself in a bed, immobile, spittle dripping out of your mouth. Think on that, will you?

Alexis Taylor, the lead singer, was in his early 30s when you wrote this, so you are actually a total moron wungabunga.

So many bands consist of a girl singer backed by a bunch of middle-aged men. This band consists of a bunch of middle-aged men backed by a girl drummer.

Their geniality shows how they can blend different genres and repurposes the song creating something new. This how music evolves through time, you make a collage of things from the past and creates something new. Hot Chip is definitely a living proof of that!

Anybody knows what vocoder is Grovesnor using? Is it a Microkorg?
@hotkaratemusic9 жыл бұрын
What the hell, that vocoder isn't working at all at 2:30 and is horribly mixed.

I'm going to be geeky here and do my Miss Jasmine explains bit, Huraches are Mexican sandals, and Nike took the name for their Hurache trainers, where I think Hot Chip got the name from for the song. Trust them though to do an official video just with lights, instead of light trainers! They aren't quite as quirky live as in their videos, except Owen on the keyboards, who was in black so couldn't make out his lovely form much! I also am partial to his strange jerky movements kinda like Jerry Lewis and Frankenstein blended. If he's free, I'll have him. If he isn't, I'll have him.
