i sometimes wonder if people watched the same drama i did... or maybe it was the subs that were always wrong because when i watched this scene it was 1000% clear they both loved each other... the reason SN said "why did it have to end up like this" she wasnt talking about WY's death she already accepted that and knows why TW killed him she says "it must have put a nail through your heart but why did you not tell me" meaning in the end she felt bad because she knows she was manipulative and drove him to the extream and i just dont get how TW killing WY shows his selfishness or how it makes him weak

Late reply...100% agree with you here..I've watch it ..3x already and I'm pretty sure that they love each other very much..she can't leave tawhan alone..she is not vocal when it comes to the emperor and I think viewers may have mistaken devotion of lady Ki to the king as love...its completely 2 diff emotions...she never in the entire season did she said that she loved Wang yu....besides she has all the chances of leaving the emperor but she did not...first was the coup against el femur..paeha ask her to leave and escape but she refused...2nd when she was being punished and asked to leave...3rd the fact that taltal asked the emperor to send sunyang back because she's the only one left who is loyal to him...taltal knew from sunyang love the emperoro from her refusal to leave since coup time

I guess some people mostly Wang you fans wants to insists that its him who she loves but history is history you can't twist facts until the end....that's why there is 2 versions of the last episode to clear this and emphasize that she is EMPRESS KI...but they can no longer change the very first scene that was used as a teaser which actually was the source of confusion....hajiwon actually wants to reshoot that scene but they can no longer do that because its in China...so they settled with 2 versions...so the lesson for directors don't shoot the first scene when its one of the vital part of the story just to entice viewers...it will mess up the story plot

First of all in that scene, she wasn't crying over Wang Yoo being dead. She was crying because Ta Hwan likes to keep his burdens a secret and shoulder them himself, and that hurts her. In regards to Wang Yoo,That's his fate. It's his destiny to live a life in misery. Yes,he was the king but more on the name only because Goryeo was under Yuan's ruling and he can't do a thing about it. He can't even save Seung Nyang "his eternal love",who was sent against her will to Yuan as a tribute girl. Both men lived their lives in misery but it's Seung Nyang that suffered and sacrificed the most. From her tough childhood to her well-deserved reign as an Empress. The only help Ta Hwan was able to provide to her was giving her the title but other that,It was Seung Nyang's Hard work,Determination,Incomparable Wit and Intelligence,Beauty and Charisma that got her to the point where she is now. Iam steel supporting her. she saved there life's so many times they steel alive cause of her.
