I relate with Zach, I also have been used by a pretty girl who pretended that she liked me but actually didn’t. She actually liked another guy. She was not even apologetic, and haven’t spoken to her ever since. Last time I checked, she’s a single mom of three kids barely getting by, since the guy she was crushing on was actually cheating on her. Still there are plenty of good girls out there. it took me years, but I finally found a girl that like me for me. And it also taught me to recognize the signs of being used.

Great story. I liked the message about how the way you treat people always had a way of coming back to you. It’s true. It’s the golden rule after all: treat others the way you want to be treated. I always tried to live by the golden rule. Until I got married and learned something no one ever talks about. It’s called the PLATINUM rule. Treat others the way THEY want to be treated. Sometimes we think we’re doing the right thing because that’s how we receive love… but how we’re treating someone isn’t how they receive love. I truly believe that’s why so many relationships fail. It can be really tough at first, because the way my husband feels loved is so different than how I do, but if you live by the platinum rule then everyone’s needs are met and everyone feels loved and cared about.
