I found your videos about three weeks ago and I do not think I have slept since because I LOVE watching your videos. You have such a unique talent and I am addicted to watching you. I make cards but they are nothing like your work. I was taught art in High School who is a famous artist where we live. He taught me so much and people say I am very talented. He taught us painting in every kind of paint, drawing with perspective, three dementional art, so many different forms of art the three years he taught me. I have NEVER seen the type of art you do, the layering is amazing and I love watching you do it. I love how all of your projects come out. There are many times I have my doubts that your project is going to turn into pleasing, but they ALL do! I went to your Etsy store yesterday and bought some of your things to use in my card making. I will buy a few things as I can and I am going to try to try your method of layering because I LOVE all the ones I have seen so far! Let me give you a small tip, when you are adding a new glue stick to your glue gun and it does not seem to advance like it should and you keep having to push it in until the stick that is already in there is almost gone, do this...put a dot of hot glue on the end of the new glue stick before you put it in the gun so it will stick to the back of the stick that is running out. It will glue the two sticks together and you will not have to keep pushing the new stick in. I hope this little suggestion can help you and anyone else who is reading this. Again, keep doing what you are doing because I LOVE your art and the way you present it. God bless you and happy crafting!

My very first piece of art was a glue gun tree and people say it looks beautiful. I’m not so impressed, but I’m proud of my colour combining. Definitely turned out pretty with three shades of green, gold and a final wash of watered down black in the crevices. My glue guns are calling to me now, I need to find my canvases now.

This looks amazing, and looks like fun too! I love that you can freehand perfect circles! :) Something tells me you'd love string gel medium. You can do similar, or cover an entire canvas, like glass, or in-between & can use run-ons (like the Inka Gold you have) or other paints over it, rake it with tools, use metallic paints over it too & have far more time to work with it. I think you'd love string gel medium! I haven't ever seen paints or rub-ons get mold in them, although I wonder if it happens in very humid climates? I used to buy these very tiny "Rub-on" sets (metallic oil-like pots that were similar to a metallic oil pastel like paint that didn't dry. You had to use a clear spray over them, and they were about the size of you thumb fingernail, and maybe 2-3mm deep. They were great for accents on 3-D projects! That was many years ago, but your Inka Gold reminds me of them. There are many similar products out there like those now.) They look incredible over dark backgrounds! I love your picture! Beautiful!

This looks FABULOUS! I love your encouragement, Marta. (We call them "Dollar Stores" here in North America, where you can get those inexpensive canvases. Also IKEA has them here). Thanks for your videos! ~Diana from Toronto

HRHDMKYT LOL! Yeah Dollarama has the cheapest & the best quality. I also find a TON TON TON of the sequence pieces, paints, & other embellishments Marta uses in her videos, over at "Buck or Two Plus" dollar stores. I don't know where in Toronto they are though. I know we have them in our small town. You should really get to one! They also have affordable paper, & sooo many other departments of the store where you can find alternative products to use as stamps & great unique texture makers (IE-rope, hot glue gun, tiny paint rollers, a ton of different smaller house paint related items, every spray paint, party supplies, kids art supplies). Ok take care! Felt I had to reply as a fellow Torontonian! #journalinspiration

@PinkPoodleCrafts7 жыл бұрын
Looks great marta! Ive been using this technique since I was a young girl... all I had was a glue gun and either cardboard or wood from my dads shop and I would use the glue to draw trees and leaves and flowers and then paint over it and then detail the tree, flowers, etc. I still use this technique. I made a video last year about it. You should try making a tree and branches, its really cool!
