Hot Glue Sueding Lillycat MSD and Dust of Dolls Roze Heln How well does it work?

After watching this video a couple of times, I decided to give it a try on three of my dolls. It works like a dream. Especially the third doll, because I never played with her because she was so floppy. But she can hold a pose nicely now.

Wow what a big improvement! Bijou's jointing system is so aesthetically pleasing even if it's not the most poseable... I hot glue sueded one of my dolls before but I feel like it wasn't as effective because her joints are so tiny

Love love love your Bijou. This Dust of Doll is one of my grail dolls ! But it s really hard ti find in second hand... i used the glue method on my Lillycat Manon. But i suppose i didn t put enough... i wired her but her but i think i will take it off. Anyway thank you so much for sharing. It makes me want to try again with my doll. 😉😉

I tried this same method with my Digidolls Ponta. The resin is so smooth that the hot glue didn't help. ^^; It even peeled off after a while. I'm going to need to try it again.

maybe a different kind of glue? I've gotten glue sueded dolls with a whte or cream colored glue and find it doesnt grab like the clear stuff does.

This was informative! I always assumed hot glue seeding was putting hot glue all over the elastics🤣 I honestly have no idea why I thought that though and I'm now happy I never tried to attempt it🤣🤣

I wonder why it's called 'sueding'? Is it pretty much like adding some more cushion with the glue? AND.... This is probably a dumb question, but I'm a newbie, so... Does it help with a doll that is strung too tight? I'm thinking not, but you're the expert here. 🤗

I think with porcelain dolls, it actually was suede? I could be wrong. idk if it helps if the doll is too tight, but it can cut down the kickiness.

it could betightly string, but sueding should help!

Hi I just recently came across your channel Looking for advice from anyone... Received a doll that is so tightly strung that she kicks, contorts, elbows & knees wont stay in place. How do I stretch elastic enough to maybe suede if needed??

If she's that tight, I recommend re-stringing her! but hot glue sueding would help too and is less of a pain. Try that!

Hi there! I'm a huge fan of hot glue sueding and all of my issue dolls get hot glue sueding. I recently got a Dust of Dolls Bomi and I love her but, omg, I cannot get her to stand. And I know it comes down to the thigh ball joint. Do you have any additional suggestions for posing for DoD? Does the R and L labels touch the torso or the thigh parts? I'm just. Guh. So frustrated and need help. 😂😅

Glue sueding and maybe a restring? The Bomi body is so big and heavy though, she might need wiring
