Could I possibly leave the pizza dough intact until the whole thing is put together? I'm definitely going to try this, so many possibilities with ingredients.

I don't understand why you didn't put down your ingredients, then roll it up and chill it, THEN cut it. It would have been much easier. And that was NOT a small dice on the onions.

@@burningitdowncountrykitchen I'm curious, does the dough that is inside the roll get cooked completely? Also, have you considered using store bought puff pastry sheets? Otherwise I like the concept, and I think I'm going to try it with the puff pastry.
