Girl, I'm in my hometown and I learned to keep my circle very small, people are not as trusting anymore these days, I been friends with this one person for over 20 years and I'm now starting to question her friendship

I understand completely. I have THREE friends and I have known two for 30+ years and the other one for over 20 years. I like to keep it like that too. All three have heard of each other but they have never met and sat down and talked to each other because each one adds to me an element that the other cannot and wouldn't even try to. Keeping it small is the best in my opinion. I have plenty of acquaintances and I have some who want to be in my square but they be too shady at times. If I can go two months and not talk to you and the second we talk, it feels like it was just yesterday, I know you're my friend.

I’m soo glad that you opened up about life in Japan. I don’t have friends either and the last time I had was in high school and in my 20s and I let that young lady go because she wasn’t being a friend and we never hung out and when she wanted to come by or hang that’s when wanted information. For years I was saying that I wanted to no longer be her friend and I ended it in 2018, I don’t like fake people.

I feel the same way and I still live in my hometown. So, like you, other than my husband, I have no friend(s) my age that I can call and confide in. But, I'm okay with it as well. Maybe we needed this time to get to know our grown, womanly, fabulous selves better, away from collective thinking and decision making with others that we sometimes do with our girlfriends, sometimes without knowing. I went to live in another country for a few years and I felt the exact same way... I tried to make friends at first but quickly realized that our ideas of friendship were complete different. I wasn’t married to anyone from that country so I eventually came on back to the States. I never got used to the solitude. I like being by myself a whole lot, but I needed to be at least within driving distance to close friends.

I definitely feel you. I've only had a handful of friends in my life. They're all gone, we are all living life and raising kids, making families. We are on Facebook but that's really it. We don't get together or invite each other out. Life just happened to all of us. My very best friend, my sister, moved away, got married, got divorced, found somebody, still gone. Sometimes, it does get lonely but there truly is strength in solitude. You learn more about yourself and how much you truly mean to you in solitude. You also learn the heights of your imagination and the limitlessness of your own power and how far you can dream, unhindered, in solitude. I thank God for solitude. If I run into my friends, I'm happy. If I don't run into my friends, I'm still happy because I know how much I mean to me. I know that I can't live without me. God is my very best friend but I am too. And, because I have so much love for me, I can, then, turn around and give that same amount of infinite love to others around me, be they friend or foe. You get there when you spend that time alone and you also appreciate the people who come into your life and have come into your life that much more.

First of all, please do hit me up when you come to Tokyo, as I'd love to have girl time with you. I think the comments you made about living in Japan are shared by many foreigners living here. Even being in Tokyo, I still have a hard time making friends here. I've found that all my friends I have made are men, as the cultural ideas of masculine/feminine are also different. The problem with linking up with people is the cultural practice of not saying what you mean, so even if they say they wanna hang out, they don't necessarily mean it. But I'm glad to hear that your relationship with your husband is healthy and supportive. But enough of that. This video is really about the makeup and you look so smooth and blended I'm-... I looove bright colors as a blush on deeper skin. Makes me so happy.
