Blessings to all who are celebrating part of their religion this time of the year. Tomorrow is Palm Sunday for us and Holy Week next week. It is also a sad time for my husband and myself since one of our dear friends passed away on Thursday. You never gave a shout out to me. What’s up with that. 😅😅 I admire you and your sweet wife. Dinesh and Vidia, another video popped up on my KZbin. The two of you are a perfect match. Dinesh, black and brown skins do burn in the sun too, but the comment to Vidia was so funny. Love the garden. I remember we had a very tall mango tree in our backyard and we had to use a rod to pick the mango, how come your mangoes are so low to the ground?🥭. Vidia, those doubles and chick peas came out perfectly, better than some of the others I have seen from some vendors. Love your family. Are you all brothers, and sisters in law? The baby looks so much like Vidia. Old wives tales say that if the boy looks like the mother and the girl looks like the father that they tend to be lucky children. Vidia, you are such a cool lady, and Dinesh, you have to get a cook's hand to be able to taste hot food like we do.😂😂😂. Anyway, everything turned out like a professional. Many people believe doubles was derived out of Chole Bhature Chole refers to the curry and Bhature is the crispy and soft fried bread or puri, a popular dish in northern India. My last trip to Trinidad watching a cricket match - a local teacher told me that Doubles got it's name from a couple from Princes Town in 1936, from MamooDeen and Mrs Deen - Mamoodeen used to sell curried channa on a single bara. Then customers began requesting him to double on the Baras. I love Doubles with either mango or tamarind. Dinesh back in Guyana, my grandmother used to cut the mangoes and placed in the sun to absorb the water. Really nice video - My wife is from Waterloo - she is going to make doubles for me on Friday lol.
