They definitely changed the hardware they give with the bulkheads now I tried to use as many stock ones as possible but I had no choice to use 2 for the hinge pins because my exb had longer bolts on one side from factory and they were to long for the aluminum bulkhead🤪awesome video can’t tell you how many people have questions and I send them right here🤪😜

thank you for the video- How do I know how and where to place shims? I.m changing my stock case to HR because I broke the hinge pin ears.and cracked the front diff case. Any tips on where to place shims?

Jim Halpin, Glad to be of assistance. I’ve got two videos that you would find valuable for your question kzbin.info/www/bejne/nam8kISEpd9lo5o And kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZmStlJypaN59etE But if you don’t feel like watching those then the quick answer would be as follows: If you’re shimming the internals of your differential and you’re running an older model (V3 or older)Then you want to put 4 to 6 shims inside between the spider gears and the plate. Depending on what shims you’re using. Stock or mugen. Watch the video for details. And part numbers. If you’re only Looking for advice on shimming the external area of the differential, then you would put 1 to 2 shim on the outside of the bearing on the left side of the differential. You might even find out there’s one already there if you’ve got the newer-models (V4). You might be able to squeeze in an extra. I was able to put two Shims in. part numbers and everything are in the videos. Bash on my friend. Always happy to help ya!👊💪😎

@@EastTactics Wow Bud! Ok Serious thanks! I watched both vids. The "everything differential you need to know" was absolutely amazing. I just ordered the Mugen and the Tekno Shim kits. Basically since I broke the Outcast 6s front diff case- I ordered everything from M2C, GPM, HR and RPM and am converting to a Kraton- too much wheelies lol on Outcast. This video and your explanation was so very helpful. Now my next step is to figure out if I need heavier oil and springs from all the aluminum and possibly added weight. Love the channel East- thanks for the personal help.

Jim Halpin, Nice! Let me know what springs you might end up going with. I’m considering picking up a set of tougher springs to. While back I ordered a set of the techno orange and they felt the same as the stock ones I currently have. So I returned them. Maybe there’s another level Techno has that Thicker or a different brand. Idk

East Tactics Hey East; I am sorry. Was in my Garage building the Car 👍. Basically on one of the HotRacing diffs I cannot get the bearing to go in. It’s the large one on the inside of the housing, input side. The other (front diff housing ) was very hard to get in also, but used a socket the diameter of the bearing and pushed it in. Maybe some light sanding of the housing? FastEddy bearings. Thanks as alway East. Sorry for the confusion I caused earlier. Hands were greasy; I may have hit a button and jacked the thread.
