+Cosima Fire Well word on the "street" is that Alex had visa issues therefore couldn't make it to Korea in time to learn the new material RaNia had been preparing for way ahead of schedule, so Alex could only do the main rap for the performance, but she didn't know the entire routine for "Demonstrate", just the ending part...reason why she left the stage during the middle. A lot of folks seem to call bs on this, but this is Dr. Music's story. I just hope Alex does well in RaNia. Being the first African American in a K-pop band is a big deal so i just hope she isn't being used, and they be genuine with her, and let get a little shine. Alex also should be humble and just practice hard and continue to work on becoming fluent in Korean, hopefully the other girls help her. It should all come together in due time. We should just be happy for Alex and support RaNia. ^_^

And there's a lot of English in Kpop so I think it would be okay if her tiny verses were in English while the other girls continue to sing in Korean I mean it's still Kpop so it should be fine besides I think the reason the company added her was so they could get that American flavour or whatever addition to their band so they might not want her rapping or singing in Korean. Wow. This is stupid because K-pop is heavily influenced by western pop. If you ask all your favorite idols who their favorite artists are, I bet half of them woukd be western artists. If the West had nothing to do with it, then no K-pop songs wouldn't have any English lyrics in them, yet most of them do. Some??? They didn’t provide her with a translator, a tutor, she was never a part of the choreography, the staff never did her make up or hair even after she brought products and straightened her hair, they talked behind her back and called her racist slurs, they never brought her clothes like the other girls even tho they were custom made, she had to bring her own clothes. She was also expected to lear 70 words per day by herself. Alex was treated like shit!! It can’t get any worse

Jaden's vanity yes but she's half Korean (with prominent facial features to show for it) and grew up in Korea. Even though Michelle doesn't look Korean on first glance because of her skin colour, this doesn't mean that she's not Asian. Alex on the other hand, has no Asian blood (that I am aware of) and is American. I SUSPECT that she, unlike Michelle, is legally identified is legally identified as a foreigner (it may be obvious but most of my fact just come from me being a fan of Michelle. I know very little about Alex apart from a couple of articles a couple of years ago)

Gonna be honest, I came here to see how the first non-Asian girl in Kpop was doing (cuz I literally have heard absolutely nothing about her or Rania since I first saw the announcement that she was gonna be added) and so I watched their Demonstrate MV and this live and ngl I'm kinda disappointed? From what I've seen so far it looks like she's not even a part of the group? Now, I have absolutely no background info so idk if like this was when they JUST added her so she didn't know the dance yet, or if she wasn't there for the solo shot filming of the MV or if she doesn't know Korean yet or what but that was just my first impression. I'm looking forward to seeing them grow from here and I really hope it's a positive experience and inspires more foreign participation in Kpop.

I heard that there was a VISA problem and so she couldn't be there in time to learn the choreo and the formations + she was not supposed to be added now but for the next comeback hence why she's not on the stage half of the time and not on the mv. But tbh the company is a total mess. Most of the girls left the group. Their debut was bomb but the company fucked up and didn't managed them well at all. Till their debut 9 girls left and no original members are in the group uggh.. I love Alex and I love them but I wish she went under another company. They just took advantage of her ignorance to scout her. If she went under another company she would have done way better than this and so does the new members

But with Alex she didn’t become a trAinee or speak enough Korean to be understood OR learn Korean social rules before debuting; that’s why I have a problem with her or other non-devoted idol wannabees in kpop.
