Great Lesson !!! I will practice daily: Can't see my hands & fingers picking up that speed with arthritis, but I'll try. What kind of Neck & Bridge Pickups are you using. I got the original FilterTrons on my 1992 G-7594T and 1998 G-6120 Nashville and the Historic Series G-3110 synchromatic with the cats-eye sound holes. Wouldn't change their sound, but I'd like to try a TV Jones Classic and/or. Classic Plus.

Great stuff!! Loved the Banjo Roll at the end. I was confused as the second position looked like a E7 hybrid but played over the D?
@tommein
@tommein 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Matthew! I think you're taking about 11:36. It's the same lick as the first, except you're lowering the C# to a C natural . In the A7 chord, C# is the third and in the IV chord D7 the C is the seven. Add the pulloff on the top string A and B pulling off to E and you're playing notes from a D9 and D13 chord. But that's just bonus. It's really about lowering that 3rd so it fits the shape of the IV chord I'm using (which in this case I'm thinking of a D9). Hope that answers your question!

I think the TAB for the riff around the 9:06 mark needs correcting. After the first riff the riffle that follows has 85 75 pull offs on the E string on the repeats. Same thing around 9:14 on the scale ru down... pulling off 85 75 on the "B" string and again on the G strings. I still love it but I slowed it down to see why the TAB fingering sounded different to your playing. :)
