Now that I’m in my late 50’s, and 2 divorces later, I’ve come to realize the following: A Roadster Shop custom built chassis/car is cheaper, far more reliable, and far more loyal than a relationship

Honestly, I appreciate the level of authenticity you bring to the video. You don't come off like some over-polished automotive journalist. I prefer your style

Awesome, I’m restoring a 59 el Camino myself with my woman and this thing blows any kind of plans we have for the 59 out of the water haha! Would love to do something like this but my skill set and wallet are limited! Sweet ride. First gen caminos are chefs kiss.

I love the 348/409 look on the LS!!! Team up with Hagerty and make a video with them at an iconic racetrack like Laguna Seca. Compete with some of your builds against some known heavy hitters like the new Mustang dark horse, Corvette ZO6, and a Porshe RS. This would really demonstrate how you don't just build beautiful cars you transform them into absolute modern beasts. It really doesn't translate through a screen what has happened by just watching you drive on the street without a seatbelt on. Throw down the gauntlet on how the Roaster Shop classically modernizes these timeless American machines and make them just as much a pleasure to drive as they are to look at! And why the rich should be building more cars like this instead of spending their money on whatever just arrived at the dealership.

18:49 I geek out on the technical breakdowns you and Phil relay. No notes - these videos are so much fun. I’d love to see a second-gen version of the video you did with the ‘69 COPO compared directly to an RS-equipped ‘69. You know, once you get your ‘70 TA done!

Luv that thing!! I could picture it with the roof 1maybe2 inches lower with a little shorter windshield...but keeping all the window trim curvatures at the top. Then I’d stretch/lengthiness the doors a few inches or shorten the fenders/bedsides so there’s a better proportioned look to the build. Yes that’s a lot work for overalls minimal changes...but after that she’d be way cooler in my heart. Much luv&respect from Hawaii to all at RS🙏🏽🤙🏽

That is a beautiful car, and a great build. I love when you keep the outside looking close to stock, but have modern running gear under it to be reliable and have good power. I love how you said you upgraded the gauges but have them look original. I am definitely a fan of your builds. Keep up the good work, when you do good quality like this you will have lots of customers

Love those early El Caminos. I think you've got the raised bed rails on the wrong sides, the angle of the uprights would then match the angle of the roof pillar.

That is so cool! It's nice to see something different, you are not going to see another one at the cars and coffee. Love the engine detail! It looks 60yrs old, but it runs modern, it starts every time and runs smoothly. Ideal power!

Love the car and love all the products you put out. RS has the perfect blend of leading-edge technology and concept but with an element of outcomes that I fool myself into thinking I too could attain. I guess you could say your "esthete" is so appealing while not being snobby or unattainable. You want stuff to talk about? I'm interested in the processes you use at every stage of a build. Im interested in the creative side and who's involved in your shop, and what influenced them and inspires them. I want to know what equipment you use to manufacture and how you decide on the combinations of materials used in each build. I'm a particular sucker for interiors, and you've pulled off some gorgeous examples so far. The interior in the 65 Pontiac 2+2 you built still stands out as the pinnacle of artistic craft, imo. I love the drive-arounds, and don't stop those. But show us some of the craft that goes into building these cars. Keep up the good work, don't get complacent, stay humble, and keep looking to grow and get better, but never lose your original vision of producing hand crafted excellence.

I love the in depth stuff.. how did the chassis go together? Did you run into any issues? What issues do you run into marrying these classic cars to a modern chassis? What does the shakedown process look like? Your videos are awesome and I love them but the car geek in me always loves the in depth stuff
@lobstahsauce Жыл бұрын
I would like to see a video comparing the chassis options you guys offer for these. Fast track vs Ride line, dissecting each to offer customers some insight into what would be better for them. Ex. I like the ride line chassis because of the engine mounts / control arm bushings, but when I watch these videos I think fast track would be totally fine.

Shame you didn't use the correct W-Block valve cover _adapters_ instead of the straight "incorrect" W-Block to LS valve cover themselves... now you have bolt holes in the center of your covers where they're not supposed to be and it's a dead giveaway. There's straight adapters to use OE GM W cover or aftermarket W covers which bolt up like original and which still hide the coils underneath the covers, then you can run vintage OE covers or say, Offie finned covers, or vintage Eldelbrock covers and it's much more "passible" as a W....

Making videos about cool cars is entertaining...without mentioning the cost of the project...it is a bit deceptive...If people knew how much these cars cost...it would give them some "reference"...and some might say, "How much???...Sorry, it is nice...but not that nice...I'd rather have a ___________", which is fine...Don't fear the "judgement"...If you can't divulge the pricetag...let people know the ballpark...These great machines are not for the "every man"...They are the exclusive territory of wealthy folks...which is fine.
