Great videos. Love that you are showing every aspect and issue you run into as well as talking through it. Exactly how I envision they did it when ridding first started.

Thanks for the comment. Sometimes I wonder if the channel would be more successful if all I did was show progress progress progress. But I feel like when I was first learning how to do this I was watching shows like American hot Rod and the great biker build off and all of that stuff and it never showed the problem-solving and I feel like that’s what this is all about. Plus there’s always a bunch of options worth exploring.

You can leave the spendles alone put bends in the steering rod/ pipe to help clear the frame. Just make sure the rod is the same length after bending cause you still have a straight line between the two wheels you just have bends in the pipe. Great Video I'm really enjoying your build.

Hopefully I’ll be tackling the same issue this weekend. Definitely gonna use that stick & tape measuring trick! I probably would have just been fumbling around trying to manipulate a tape measure while holding a live torch… Thanks for helping prevent probable 😂severe burns! 🤣

That’s funny man I’m glad it helped. I was sitting there, fumbling with a tape measure, and I was like this is never going to work with the torch. And then I dawned on me just make a little “story stick”… worked like a charm had to reset it for each side obviously because I didn’t bother to level the car but still worked

Did you figure out and sort the ackerman while you were there? Probably a pretty good idea to, for anyone watching too, make sure you do. I only skipped to the heating part because i need to bend mine (55 chev arms on 54 chevy) to fix my ackerman

@@betweenthesharksgarage All done. Drove it from Chester to Penzance and back as a shakedown run (that’s about 700 miles). Found that the driving position was awful and the clutch slipped. Sorted that over the winter. Doing the UK NSRA reliability run over this weekend
