I bought a 1970 Buick GS Skylark for only $700 back in 1979. Eventually the 455 got tired, and I rebuilt another 455 out of a 1970 Buick GS Riviera that I found in a junk yard back in the early 80's when you could still find stuff like that. Getting that Buick engine straightened out was a hassle compared to my 1970 SS Chevy Chevelle with a 454 that I owned at the same time which was much easier to make dependable than a Buick engine.
