Hot Rod Power Tour Prep: New Transmission Gasket & Filter in the TH200-R4 for the 86 Cutlass!

I put a new gasket on my pan. The transmission was rebuilt about a year ago and It started leaking on me after i put on a new gasket. You think i may have bent the pan around the edges if so will that cause it to leak & is it possible to re straighten it?

it could be a few things. checking the flatness of the pan is a good start. Sometimes I just check my bolts and that works. There may be a bolt not quite torqued right. The transmission surface may not be milled the best for the gasket chosen. I ve seen many cork gaskets used on these transmissions, not many rubber. I tried something different with the lubelocker and so for so good. I am actually putting the same gasket on the TH400 transmission now. Good luck!
