Amazing! I haven't seen these tractors since attending my first pull at Arco Arena in Sacramento...1991/92. There is probably no video footage of the pulls here in Sac, but fun to re-live through this.

Wow very cool. I remember seeing the 57 Chevy pull here in San Antonio. Judging by the names in the contest it looks like they re-bodied their old 2wds. Like the Rice Burner became the 57 Chevy and the Mercury was the old Magnum Jr. Can any pulling fans confirm if this was true?

I misheard Mike Hoff's name, and I thought it was 'Mike Hawk', so here I sit laughing my ass of at: '... side by side against Mike Hawk ... Mike Hawk is ready to go ... and it's Mike Hawk ... for a solid victory ... Sorry I misheard the name but it was quite hilarious until I realized my mistake.

The same problem with all the rods. The back tires are like basketballs. Filling them 80% water would take the bouncy out.... But probably would be to heavy... Use taller rims with shorter sidewalls. (custom tires)

*UMMM* ............ ALL TRACTOR PULL TIRES ARE LIKE THAT.... NOBODY PUTS WATER IN THEM. THEY SPIN ENTIRELY TOO FAST FOR THAT MUCH WEIGHT. EDUCATE YOURSELF!!!

Ran for a couple of years, but this is the only known footage. Even Bobby Johns didn't know this existed until I showed it to him.

That run at 4:40 was WAY longer than 5.19 seconds. What horrible timekeeping.
