Whitney2022 He mentioned that he has extended family in show business so he may have been exposed to older actors, films, directors, etc. He’s also done theater and given his age, he’s probably played opposite older cast members. This cast and director are both young so maybe it’s just a different experience for him. His experience in CMBYN, as many of us know by now, was very immersive. He lived in Italy for 2 months and spent a lot of time with veteran actors, crew, and of course director Luca Guadagnino (who often entertained the cast at his home). He had a lot of time to REALLY get to know these people personally as well as professionally. That translates to greater camaraderie.

I feel like Timothée blends better with actors that are older than him, because he’s a very mature person. And if he ever blends with people his age, it’s on a movie with more of a serious and age-old premise, if that makes sense. Timothée doesn’t do well with teens of regular maturity levels, when I was watching this interview I couldn’t really see the chemistry, which might’ve been why the movie turned out so-so.
