Hot Tent Camping And Ice Fishing On A Frozen Lake | High Winds And Cold Temps

In this video, I traveled over 20 miles on ATV to a backcountry lake to ice fish and have a great time camping on the lake. I setup the RBM UP2 Tent on the ice in high winds and cold. The ice was cracking and popping under the tent from the cold temps. I was really impressed with how well the tent performed. I cooked some good food and made monte cristo sandwiches for breakfast. I just happen to stumble across this channel and all I can say is WOW! Great videos Seth. You seem like you have thought of everything before you take off. I haven't ice fished for at least 35 years. We never have enough ice and when we do, it is short-lived. Thanks for your videos and all the extra time it takes to get these awesome shots. On the passenger side of your carburator there's a cold weather button. Press it a couple of times and she'll fire right up. UP2 coming in 6 days.🤞

Psychologically I would feel uncomfortable having a tent over a frozen lake knowing there is 25 feet of water below me. You are very brave !!! Enjoyed your video as I usually do.

Here is a tip put I don’t know how to keep them live. Leeches minnows leopard frogs. Crayfish they are the best to use in fishing 😊 it works always 😊

Thanks a lot for showing the surounding , you where quite alone with your little shelter lost in the middle of nowhere . 20 miles in , quite a distance to get to a fishing spot. You where lucky the atv finaly started . This is something to remember, alway's bring emergency rations in case the fish are not cooperating 😅 . How many batteries do you bring for your drill ? It was cold and you use it for drilling holes and to anchor the tent . Thanks for the video , I alway's enjoy them

I usually bring 3 batteries with me. One for the saw and drill and an extra just incase. I can drill about 40 holes with one 6.0 battery.

Do you find it easier to open up the tent after staking it into the ground first? I have the up-5 and I can’t get it open on my own.

I feel like its harder to set up when its staked down. I try to lift the tent up as much as I can from the inside before trying to pop it open.

The m18 hatchet works great and saves so much time when cutting firewood. This is the UP2 full size and not the mini.
