Hey Swed! I know you had that chimney flap held as far open as possible, but, is there anything else you could've used just in case somehow, the stove pipe got too hot & Scorched something?

As ever, you take us fully into the Swedish wilderness; you share the peace of solitude. Even though I'm 71 and am pleased to live in a caravan in beautiful Devon countryside, your videos make me yearn to dig out my old lavvu and camp again in the hills and on the coast, as I have enjoyed in the past. Thank you, Swedwoods, for the best vicarious experience on KZbin.

A wonderful adventure is the rain, one of my favorite things! That is why I live in the Redwood Rainforest. Your anticipation of the rain as you stood in the sun and cooked the fish was brilliant. And after thoroughly enjoying your amazing channel since the beginning of Covid, for the first time, you made me do a spit-take on my coffee @23:13 - "It was just Wilson". My friend, THAT was funny! It just further enforces my belief that you would be a LOT of fun to have a beer with. Enjoy the change of season, and I eagerly await your snow trekking! Cheers!

Watching Swedwoods video's is giving me a way out although for a short time to be calm and cherish the outdoor adventures Dad and I had. Great video yet again. I was very interested in the length of your chimney/flue pipe. I have been thinking about cutting mine down so that it's less effected by wind. Have you noticed any down sides? I was worried that there may be more ember's that might burn my tent or that the stove wouldn't draw properly. I trust your opinion and would greatly appreciate your views. Many thanks from Wales
@Swedwoods7 күн бұрын
There is a certain length the pipe has to have to draw properly. I used a pipe in sections before on this stove and tried out exactly what is the minimum length, and that is what I use now. There is mathematics on this but I would always try it out in my yard before camping anyway. I actually got more holes in my tents with a spark arrester than without one. The random sparks that do get through the arrester grid loose speed and fall straight down. Without the arrester the sparks get more velocity and fly off into the terrain. So im thinking about stop using them. Thanks!

You hat in the beginning 3 tarps if I saw it ride. Did you hat one from east Germany from the NVA then they are very good and you can put them with others together. I was in the Airfors my self , and in the best time 1988 to 1990 wenn the biggest trouble was on the way. I was wondering if you can play next time a few songs on your guitar please , I love the old viking songs or the songs what is written over the vikings unbelievable. I have been a subscriber for a long time and you have even made my daughter’s forks. I rarely comment, no need to really, but one question have always want to ask you is: as you cook so often in your kettle, does it not taint the taste of your coffee? Keep the content coming as my family and I enjoy it so much.
@Swedwoods6 күн бұрын
Hey Ed. When using like noodles and pasta I have not noticed any flavour being transfered to coffee. Maybe rice and potatoes give more taste I think. Coffee in itself, that is highly acidic I think is very good at masking any basic flavours. Tea would maybe be more sensitive. Even if the starch from pasta for example would alter the taste in coffee I doubt it would be such a big deal when it comes to the taste, and also wilderness life tend to make you very forgiving. At home I am a coffee Ge**apo for sure! Give my best wishes to H and P. Take care!
