Away from the city. Great food, incredible northern lights, a hot wood stove, and a good sleep ... This is pure freedom in the forest.
Jackery website for your power station is here: www.jackery.com?aff=549
I love my Jackery and I won't camp without it.

Ah yes spring is awakening from a long winter's nap. Soon the sap be running through the trees as blades of green grass leads to beautiful prairie meadows filled with array of wildflowers that give off a radiant aroma as the wind stirs through the air. Then to our souls long to shed the layers of woolen fuzzy apparels as one's skin absorbs the warm rays of sunshine. All such a wonderful.gift that changes with each longing season. Thank You for sharing these transformations through your KZbin channel.

Jay, I do enjoy your style of video. A nice layed back, slower paced and simple way of life is what some of us like to strive for and you manage it well. Thank you for letting us come along! Here where I live, the migration of people from the lower states are finding there way to our Pacific Northwest and its starting to take its toll on our country life....the good thing is we have your channel to watch and get away from the rat race!!! Thank you again....

I dare say that I almost enjoy the cooking now more than the rest of the content! :) Don’t worry about the regularity of your videos during seasons when it’s harder to get out there. I know I’ll be excited when you come back, no matter how much time that takes. :)

I went on a canoe trip in the region just north of Minnesota with the Boy Scouts, we went out of Charles L. Summers Canoe Base. I remember the voracity of the mosquitos...coming from South Louisiana, I thought we had the worst, but man, those mosquitos in Canada are murderous...and then the little bugs our guide called "no see-ums!" What a bite!

Hey jay! Love the video man! Something to try tho. My army ranger buddy told me one time that if you take the tip of a match or 2 and scrap it off with your knife and make it into a paste and eat it or but it in some water. It will keep the mosquitos away! I’ve done this so many times out hunting during the summer or fall here in Oregon! Give it a try!

I noticed in one of your videos that the handle on your pot came apart. It reminds of a trick to keep the outer wall of your pots from getting black when cooking over a fire. I take dish soap and wipe the bottom third of the pot with it (not TOO thick). Then when I am finished cooking, I wipe the outer wall of pot with a paper towel and voila hardly any black residue....

Also after you get the fire kind of started if you got pine trees with sap on them sap will help get that fire going real good pine trees app very flammable that's why when a forest fire starts it go so quick when it hits pine trees because of the sap coming out and don't put a lot of sap in there because that sap works too damn good

Instead of putting your hotdog buns on a paper towel to heat them up and toast them on top of your wood stove, get some parchment paper. It's safer and meant to be used in ovens at high temperatures, so it should be safer to use on top of your wood stove than a paper towel.
