I do believe they tell them to spice things up and/or tell them they need to do things to boost their popularity ratings (Directives) as Iyabo said. But I don't think they give them actual script or tell them to fight anybody, etc. Now the actual things they do I believe is a choice and when they start being controversial is where personal integrity and character comes in..... and the creators of the show know this. Human nature comes out

You’re right! I just don’t like how she’s blaming production for things she chose to do. There’s a difference between shade & being a straight up mean person. If the viewers reacted a different way now and were hailing her for how she treated faith, I’m sure she would not be giving these explanation tours like she’s doing rn😭
