Being the fan of the Mighty Keaton Batman that you are, I wanted to point out a fan made animated short called Batman Reanimated. It's on youtube and just came out a few days ago. It's really well done with top notch animation. Captures the 89 aesthetic perfectly.

Epic review dude! Love the shoe intro 😅😅 I'm not sure about the texture on the torso, it seems too bumpy. The second face plate looked more like Val Kilmer, but I thought the teeth were done well. Same with the battle damaged face. The first face doesn't quite get the pout right. Overall I think it's a very nice figure, but I would have to agree that a 7.5 or 8 is a fair score. I had completely forgotten about the groin smasher potato masher. A great in-depth review that I'm sure will help people to decide whether to buy the figure or not. Haha, I never put “groin smasher potato masher” together before, maybe I should haha. Thank you for pointing that out. 7.5 to 8 I think is a good score for something that should be more-or-less perfect. The shoe made it for me. I have never seen Vicki’s missing shoe as part of the accessories before 🤣 they get 10/10 for the effort. Thank you for watching!

You’re not doing anything wrong with the grapple gun and the belt. It does have a magnet, it’s just the weakest magnet you have ever used. It took me a solid 5 minutes to get it attached. Then I immediately removed it so I didn’t lose it, as it’s for sure going to fall off if someone in the room so much as passes gas. And it’s only the gun itself that attaches. The hook you’ll notice in the photo, he holds that in his hand only.

Thank you! I did work it out post video and you’re right, it IS the weakest magnet it the world 🤣 Shame because it would look so cool attached to the belt. I think at some point during that bit in the video I did have it attached correctly, but the magnet is so weak I couldn’t tell if it was attached or not. I'm half convinced the texture on the suit is a factory error they just didn't bother fixing, and I'll never understand how HT can look at that buck-toothed face plate and give it the okay. At no point in the film does he make a face like that. The battle damaged one is a little better, though. If they gave us a battle damaged cowl to go along with it it would make it even a little better. The cape is all sorts of wrong, though, and the yellow on the belt is definitely too yellow. Definitely something that should have been updated as it was too yellow on the DX09 as well. Overall, a pretty average effort from HT on a figure they should have been able to knock out of the park. I guess they did somewhat make up for it with the shoe, though, so there is that. I'm waiting for my 1/3 scale Prime One Keaton Batman statue that should be coming pretty soon. Usually don't do 1/3 scale as they're too big and pricey, but I made an exception for that one.

My feelings exactly. I mean, I’m happy I’ve got it as part of my Keaton collection, but after the brilliant The Batman figure of there’s this feel quite short. The only thing I’m doing to it is knocking off some of the yellow on the belt but, really I shouldn’t have to. The shoe definitely was the icing on the cake 🤣 The 1/3 statue you’re getting sounds interesting!

Ok, so the mouth plates are off, especially the last two. Don't know what HT was thinking. The one that figure comes as stock is also a bit off. The problem i see is that left and right side of the lips looks completely different from each other, and that's why from one side, you can see Keaton's likeness but when looking from the front you kinda not sure if Keaton is still there. The cape is a bit better than DX09. Body/suit texture is not accurate to the movie at all. DX09 has that issue, but less. When HT introduced 2.0, i was like: yeah, im gonna sell DX09 and get the 2.0. Im glad i didn't in the end. I have Dx09 for more than 10 years, and im gonna keep it still. Overall, 2.0 is a good figure, especially if you missed on DX09. I'll probably rate this figure strong 7. So , Matt, now you need the Joker figure. Hot Toys one is hard to find at a good price, but Mars Toys comes with help😊.

I agree with all your points. I still would have bought this knowing it’s short comings because it’s, The Mighty Keaton, BATMAN! Joker is on my hit list for sure. I have been eyeing up Joker from Mars Toys but we will see.

I ended up buying an Unreal Custom Cowl and cape. Shame I had to spend an additional $500.00 just to make this figure great

I've seen so many video reviews of this figure and the reviewers are hoping Keaton's likeness will show up with the different lightings they used. I already picked up my figure but I'm no longer excited to unbox it. NECA 1:4 Batman '89, Mezco and Beast Kingdom Batman Returns, The Flash modern batsuit have better face sculpts. Better than DX09 too.

Mezco for sure but, I haven’t seen the BK Returns (personally) to compare but I’d imagine you would be correct.

I think every needs to own one Hot Toy, of any character, just a hot toy. Because the soft goods are top notch. But after that, save your money and buy NECA. The sculpts look just as good, sometimes even better, than Hot Toys; there are no soft goods you have to worry about degrading, and they are a fraction of the price.

These are the points I am making in my next video. Everything on the Hot Toys figure if top quality material but, NECA is half the price (if not more) and looks as good if not better. Thank you for your comment 👍

Nothing NECA does is any good. Cheap, fragile, garbage. Hot Toys will always be better.
