They dialed the suit texture up to like 15. It should have texture, to mimic a kind of leathery, animal skin kinda look…but this shit is NUTS. Not liking it…and it’s kinda dragging me down…

I saw the pictures on HT FB just now and said the same thing to myself. The suit texture looks almost the same intensity as the gargoyle! I used to have the first release of this figure by HT and from memory that looks just as good as this new one. Suit texture was much more realistic. I am sure with modern tech the build of this will be much better though. I can only imagine what a flaky mess the original's cape would be if I still have it today.

The face on the prototype was good but not great. The finished product looks nothing like Michael Keaton. The problem isn't just the faceplate but it's the eyes too. As almost everyone can tell the suit texture is not even close to accurate. I've been so excited for this. I even bought the Jazzinc Batmobile to go with it. I would have been happy if it looked like the prototype but this last set of pictures has me really bummed. When you compare the level of accuracy on some of the other figures.......this one is crap. To say that I'm bummed would be an understatement.

If you block out Keaton's eyes & the suit & just look at his mouth, it looks absolutely NOTHING like Michael Keaton. This is inexcusable for a 2.0 that is 12 years in the making. The DX09 is far superior in likeness to Keaton. Now I'm praying that I can use the old face plates on the new figure. I love the Deluxe diorama piece & can appreciate the new cape & maybe a better body but the likeness is just ABYSMAL when you just look at the face plates & block everything else out.

Definitely feel that pain forsure. I am hoping in hand I still love it more but it did take the wind out of my sails for something I was mega hyped for. Hopefully it's a mix of bad photos and in hand we still can love it! Thanks for watching and supporting the show!

It's not just the faceplate. The eyes don't look like Keaton either. I'm shocked at how bad the likeness is.

@dispassionateobserver Yes. The DX09 eyes are also way better. Not just the color of the eyes, but the white of the eyes. The white is so washed in this new one & it looks nothing like Keaton.

For me being a newer collector I’ll be happy just to get his figure. It’s sold out in a lot of places but with all the drops in figures not sure if I can afford anymore.

I love it but still feel a tad dissapointed. I'm hoping my in hand perspective will add too it! I'm sure it will still be great. But yes affordability is getting challenging! Payment plans for me help but can also get out of hand quick!

I think it depends on your display! Jazz looks amazing but the price tag is daunting and have had no officially licensed figures yet. But if you feel the quality looks better for your level of nostalgia for the movie then grab them if you can! Will be a wild display! Thanks for watching and supporting the show again!

I am on the fence regarding cancelling preorder. Just the faceplate is obviously not like keaton. I mentioned in another comment. It is more like temu or wish batman. and has a softness almost looks like robocop. Last hot toys figure I got was the crow and that was disapointing as well. I also feel with the texture that this is a super imposed version of the mezco batman as that had similar texture on the suit. just those face plates for 1/12 scale were so on point.

Ahh ya it's tough when it's so much money! The Dx09 likeness I think was better but it had issues like the seam on the top of the cowl. I do think in hand this will be better than we expect even likeness wise. But it's a lot of money to gamble with if you're not happy. I'm keeping my order because I need a Keaton batman in the collection. You could always hold out for a jazzinc one if they ever do it as well! Or a return batman 2.0 from hot toys if you don't need the 89 specifically. Either way thanks for commenting and supporting the channel!

I'm really considering cancelling my pre order. Sucks because I wanted this for years. But the texture is just soo bad and the face sculpt doesn't really look like Keaton

If you love this version of batman though and don't already have one, i think this new one may be one of those figures that just doesn't photograph and video as well as it looks in hand! Hope so anyways because I've been feeling the same way, but need this version in the collection and I still think will look amazing with my joker.

@TheBenThomasShow I just saw a review on KZbin of someone who got it. Sadly the bad texture and awkward sculpt is still there😭 I don't have a keaton 1/6 in my collection yet. But man I just don't know if I can justify the price I paid for this final product. I guess I'll sleep on it.

I'm holding out hope still I'll like it more than the reviews have shown me hah there really isn't a better option to have this representation of the character. Maybe Jazzinc does one though but likely a returns one if they did

The DX09 STILL better, the final product of the 2.0 is terrible, I've seen lots of review videos and photos it doesn't look like Keaton.

The only review I've seen that made me like it more with a direct comparison to dx09 was brother cousins toy review channel. But I agree when standing next to dx09, the older version is still the winner. Which sucks because this was my most anticipated figure of the year! Thanks for watching and supporting the channel!@

The goofy face is a letdown and I agree that the battle damage face seems lighter in skin tone with no grit/dirt and the blood seems too bright. I hope it is a color correction, but I must wait and see. I got the batmobile and am now just waiting for the man to open them up simultaneously.

Oof ya you gotta have a batman to go with that car forsure! Such a great display! I think we will still be happy with it in hand. It's always amazing how photos can hurt our excitement.
