Saying this as someone who purchased this figure I think it is a great disservice to commandos and Clone Trooper fans. If you like it then that's great, I'm happy for you. That doesn't change the fact that it is wildly innacurate by almost every measure. Even if this was supposed to be an animated style figure (it isn't) it wouldn't work. You can find online side by side comparisions of Hunter's TCW/Bad Batch model and the model for the TCW/Bad Batch Commando and there are several differences between their armor, also we know what a "live action" style armor is supposed to look like from Republic commando and Battlefront II, (funny enough the only "accurate" part about this figure is that the helmet is beautifully 1/1 done from BF2). There's plenty more issues as well such as details like the gray stripe supposed to be going along the sides of the visor but isn't there, but I won't keep going on since I imagine most people seeing this wont care. It's an ok figure if you look at it as a toy from a cartoon, but as a premium collectible piece from a company that prides themselves on "accuracy" this is an immensely sub-par product and suffers from all the same problems that the Black Series commando's have, I have wanted Hot Toys to make delta squad forever but if future 1/6th Commando's use this body then I will not be buying them and ultimately this will probably be the first figure in my Star Wars collection that I sell. (also for extra context I'm not some jaded middle aged fan, I'm 19 about to be 20 and passionate about Star Wars and Clones, I just expect better especially when Hasbro literally did better with 3.75 inch figures from 2011)

@@JedhaPatrol because I was really excited that we finally got a Hot Toys Clone Commando. I love clones, they're one of my favorite parts of star wars and one of the things that got me into the franchise. However I also think that Clones deserve to be given the same accuracy that stormtroopers are when it comes to merchandise, and that has not been the case when it comes to the black series recently, and hot toys in some cases. I wanted to be happy for this figure and I initially thought it looked decent and that I could get past the few issues it had, but the more I see it the more I just realize that Commandos deserve so much better. Again I'm happy for everyone who likes the figure, that doesn't change the fact that this isn't an accurate figure for animation or live action and that's my issue. I think a company making a premium collectible that costs almost $300 should be able to do a commando with at least as much accuracy as a 2011 Hasbro 3.75in figure.

I get it’s a mix of the animated/game look, but it’s not accurate to either proportions wise. Needs to be way bulkier. Hope we get accurate Delta Squad versions.

Just weird design choices here. We have canon examples of how Commandos should look in realism (Battlefront 2 2017), this doesn't match the show OR the game. It's just in some weird limbo. I hope any future Commandos are done properly. The helmet is perfect though.

Hunter and Commandos are not only visually different in size, but armor designs as well. It’s not just a helmet/chest swap. Design and shape of certain pieces are completely different. For a company that promotes “screen accurate” products, they got this one 95% wrong. Just a cheap cop out to reuse Hunter molds. Real fans won’t accept this as a true Commando, and people who are crazy about detail and likeness won’t either.

I don't mind this figure at all. Miraculously, I was able to get one. Thank you again for the congrats during the livestream the other day. Yeah, it doesn't have the knuckle vibro blade and I know a lot of people are upset about the armor inaccuracies. But I think it's very good for what it is. My only knock is that it's limited edition as I said before. As much as a lot of people hate it, I think it would've been great as a general release for those of us who wouldn't mind spending more to have at least a squad. Congratulations on getting 2 of them!🎉🎉🎉🎉

Thanks for the review.. only problem i and many collectors have is this whole exclusive hype Hot Toys is force feeding us! These make no sense to make limited just to attract more non collectors that buy it just to resell it for even higher prices. Personally not going to support any of these limited figures since you have to pay way more for same amount of plastic 🤷🏻‍♂️ But they look great!

I like to think this is a “phase II”commando armor that’s more simplified and less bulky. That’s my rationale for why it not like the armor in the games and such lol

Unfortunately it isn't though, in the show these commandos have the exact same armor that Delta Squad is shown with in their appearance in the Clone Wars series, in the Bad Batch the commandos shown are simply the way that style of animation does commandos, but this figure isn't even fully accurate to that.

Awesome. I think the different helmet and chest piece create enough difference for me. I have one coming from SS eventually. CF99 is a commando unit so it makes sense they share some similarities in armor pieces. NGL though, I would’ve liked to see the vibro knife in the hand armor piece but oh well.

This review just shows a lack of knowledge of the source material, this figure is exactly like if HT made a “rebels stormtrooper” using the animated design, Battlefront 2 has realistic commandos but only customizers have the guts to say these new hunter repaints are garbage, step up man

Thanks for the review, glad I picked one up, couldnt give a s**t about the inaccuracies people are whining about, figure is cool and goes well with the batch on the shelf. I also like that hot toys are limiting more figures now, actually keeps the hobby more exciting. I enjoy the whole effort of jumping in the queue and hoping to get one. If i miss out, i miss out, theres always going to be another figure.
