What a gorgeous head sculpt. I am getting two copies of this figure. I plan to put a white Winter Coat on one of my copies while using the included cloak with the other. All white outfit makes me outfit of staining .

She's an amazing figure, iconic and a must have for any prequel fan. I think they've got a very good sculpt, and the tailoring on her suit is rather nice. People have waited a long time for this one, and I am so pleased it's finally out for them. Her pistol is quite unique and well done. You ask which is a better look for her: I'd say without a doubt that it's just the suit on its own, not wearing the poncho. That's how we think of her in this suit, not covered. Those silver amulets really set off the look so well, too. Very nice figure.

Got the poncho on currently just to use all the accessories, but at some point I think I will just display her without the poncho for that true AOTC look. Super fast delivery on your video again! I’m waiting a bit to get her to save some cash, but at the weekend sorted out where she’s going in the shelf, next to classic phase 1 clone trooper and AOTC Threepio. I tend to holster weapons and have figures holding a different weapon they come with, but gotta have the shiny pistol held! And will use the poncho too but not the bucket hat.

Sounds like you have a great display already planned 👊🏻 Thats how I want to display her too 😃 But at the moment I want to use most of the stuff she comes with so I do have the shiny pistol holstered whilst she is holding the blaster rifle, and also wearing the poncho (but without the hat). I think it definitely adds a bit more “life” to the eyes when you utilise the eye rolling system, otherwise you’re right it can look a bit of a blank stare when facing head on. Thanks for checking out the video 😃👊🏻

All the reviews look better than the blogger photos, I think it's because of the lighting. Natural lighting and shading makes her eyes look smaller and more natural/real whereas direct light to her eyes makes them look alot bigger Definitely picking this one up!

I think you're spot on there! When the light is direct on her eyes they do look a lot bigger, like big almond shaped eyes! This may have been why the sculpt has looked a bit off in some previous photos under that specific lighting. But yeah in-hand I'd say she is perfect! Glad you'll be picking her up too 😃👊🏻

The poncho headpiece is from the Clone Wars animated show, Hasbro also made a 3,75” figure back in those days. Will probably never pose it like that no 😅

I am wondering what type of body they used with it. Just discovered the Wonder Woman Training Armour version, which has seamless arms and legs. The neck seam makes it compatible with this neck sculpt. The next thing I need to research is how the midriff looks on the Wonder Woman figure. If it’s not a mess of seams, I could use it to make her accurate to the battle of Geonosis. Later in the battle her wounds disappear, so all that’s left is the ripping. HT bodies tend to all have the same skin tone if not black or an alien.

Found a body type from Pop Toys that looks like it has compatible joints as well as seamless arms and legs. Important because she loses a sleeve. The midriff looks good too. The only seams would be hidden by clothing. The skin tone looks right, too.

Congrats on the pickup mate - still waiting for mine to arrive! Some of the blogger photos have been a bit disappointing but when in hand, I think this figure looks much better than some might think. Personally, I don’t think they exactly nailed the sculpt - it’s good from certain angles, but not like NP from other angles. Without having mine in hand, I would probably give it a 7.5 at the moment but hopefully that will change. What do you think of the pants - slightly on the baggy side? All in all, it’s a must have figure though, and is going to look ace next to a young Anakin! 👍🏼

Excellent review I was worried about the head sculpt cuz the comments were very negative they all inclined that it looked like a Barbie doll but after seeing your review am glad to say that it looks pretty good and with the eye rolling system it will definitely give it a more accurate look and realism good job HT’s now as an extra accessory it should have come with a battle damaged shirt so we could recreate the scene where she got scared by the tiger monster that would have been cool.

Hmm, can't remember tbh and it's stored away now. If you buy direct from Hong Kong you will rarely get a shipper. Usually they're just with Diecast or DX figures. If you want a shipper you would have to order from Sideshow. Although I wouldn't worry about a shipper anyway. It's just a cardboard box at the end of day and holds no value really! 👍🏻

That head dress though, looks like she made it out of a pillow case 🤣 really nice figure though. That gun is probably my favorite pistol from hot toys. You said ages ago you were thinking about changing your display method and getting rid of the detolfs, I was just curious if you made any progress on that? I've got another set of displays but it will take me ages to set them up. I started to think though because I'm keeping the detolfs too, I like detolfs a lot and I would be sad if they were gone. So I was curious to see how you feel about yours?

Totally agree, deffo a future grail. Did an actual LOL at "looks like she made it out of a pillow case" btw 🤣 I'm still in a bit of a quandary about the displays mate. Like you I like the detolfs a lot, I just think they're perfect for pretty much completely unobscured views of the figures thanks to the glass shelves and minimal support frames. I'm waiting to hear from another collector who potentially has a line on some moducase equivalent which is supposed to be similar but significantly cheaper. In the meantime I think I'll just be cramming more and more into my existing detolfs 😅 Not ideal but I can't stop collecting! 🫣 What's your plan?

@@TK421Collectibles haha! To be fair it is very pillow like 🤣 Hmm.... it is an issue for us all. For what it's worth, I've watched a lot of videos on moducases and alternatives and in my opinion they always look crammed and not great looking. My solution is billy bookcases with morladin doors that have been replaced with a new name, that adds basically an extra shelf above the height of detolfs. That being said though, you can only see the figures head on although you can get glass shelves. I think the way to go in an ideal world is having full glass cabinets like detolfs but wide, like the width of 4 or 5 detolfs but 14 inches higher, like a shop display. Trying to find something on a budget though is impossible 😭

George Lucas wrote some well-written strong heroines in Star Wars (such as Leia and Padmé), but Marianne from Strange Magic is exactly what those characters tried to avoid. I don't really understand why George made a caricature for poorly-written strong heroines. Marianne is the embodiment of a misandristic strong heroine; she is the definition of the "Girl who acts like a dude for no reason" trope. The plot point regarding her fiancé cheating on her after the first few minutes of the movie (including his forced villain twist) was forced and contrived just to prop up Marianne's change of character, which is not even any better or more interesting that his. After the cheating scene, Marianne suddenly starts acting like a guy and abruptly starts having a dumb belief that love is something that makes a girl weak (which is an annoying trait so many poorly-written strong heroines have). Marianne even sings and sticks out how much she acts like a dude and acts sexist towards guys. Plus, it doesn't even go anywhere because Marianne would eventually fall in love with Bog King (which was also developed too late in the last part of the movie). Padmé has Anakin as a love interest yet she's also a strong heroine (The same for Leia having Han Solo as a love interest while also being a strong heroine). This proves that love doesn't make a girl weak. Strong heroines who believe that just have a mean-spirited prejudice against men.

Great figure bud, i know you been really looking forward to this. Great video showing the figure in great detail. I like the prequels and would not mind getting this. But to many preorders in the works so probably not happening for me. But she does look fantastic bud
