They only ever showed up in video Games and comics. But it being in that movie series for hot toys could mean something.

I don’t mind the weathering and I’m very glad they re-issued this. Been eyeballing the secondary market so this was a dream come true

Jedha, please do a vid on figure photography lighting. I don't know what it is about your style but it just looks better than most IMO.

Yes, it's from that Star Wars movie called "Battlalion". 😉 I know it's subjective, but the silver/reversed out eyes and teeth are so goofy to me I just see little black dots/pupils there, so cartoony. There's a really good reason with the other black ones they didn't do that. Dating all the way back to 77 with the tie pilot helmets... just my design 2c!

Agreed. I too think it would look better with black eyes and (especially) the teeth just like the TIE Fighter pilot.

I received the normal trooper and the shadow trooper together and as much as I like the shadow trooper, I just didn’t think it had much presence because it didn’t stand out in the display, the backdrop helps a tonne, but doesn’t compete with the classic trooper for me

Can anyone recommend the best Storm Trooper figures to buy (non first order)? I see there are a lot, but what does everyone consider to be the best quality/best looking ones?

The Rogue One Stormtroopers are pretty much regarded as the best by a lot of people, myself included. I used to say the A New Hope ones were the best, (I think mostly through nostalgia though), but the R1 ones are much better proportioned. They really look like actual human beings, perfectly shrunk down. Also, the helmet isn't as bulky and the armour isn't as loose as the OT troopers.

Nice!!! You can use dummy batteries with ac power adapter cord usb if you don't want to use the other batteries 😮

the answer is very simple, its in movie series because the figure is recolor of the new hope trooper which is in movie.

Only ever been in the comics and battlefront game. Hopefully they’ll be a movie or new series show at some point in the future. That would be very cool.

The helmet on this one always feels oversized to me, or the body too skinny Maybe its just the black paint. I'd love to see it next to the white ANH and ROJ Stormtroopers for comparison.

I think that too. The torso looks too slim. But yeah, they do say black is slimming, so maybe it's that! 😄
