I have only one on order. I will wait 'til I have it in hand before deciding on whether I want a second one (provided they aren't sold out). If not on a second super battle droid, there are plenty of other figures I can spend my money on. 😁

I ordered 3 for my Geonosis battle scene. (It’ll be years before I can put it together). Overpriced for what they are though. My feeling is that they’re not making more of these any time soon.

For the price, it should have more accessories or effect parts or better build quality. This should be a two pack considering how little you get.

It looks great. My thought is that HT should sell the Battle Droids with two in each package and the cost should be less than $200.

This should be a $129 figure- it looks so cheap- the base is inexcusable . Maybe a two pack with a battle droid would be reasonable at this price. Hard pass .

It's not even worth 80 bucks, because for 80 dollars, You can get the G.I. Joe Classified Fire Team 788 bundle, which comes with THREE FIGURES and a shit ton of accessories! This should be 20 bucks, period.

I'm thinking someone at Hot Toys, when making the original sand base, accidentally entered a quantity of 5,000,000 instead of 5,000; therefore, we will be getting the sand base with every other figure for eternity.

Those complaining about accessories, what else would you want? It’s based on EP2. A blaster effect? What else? Get real. As for the weight etc, sure…I can sort of understand but it’s a droid. It’s a slim droid. It’s accurate to design. Overpriced? Maybe. I think $200 is more fair.

Great review and unboxing 👊🏻 I got similar vibes of *slight* disappointment mainly with how light and therefore plasticy it was but like you say it’s still great to have one in the collection. Btw the arms do pull out at the shoulders slightly 👍🏻

You are talking about the instructions, but you have to read it too, because there are more functions and movement in the arms and shoulders than you showed in your review.

I actually really like the implementation of AAA batteries because wall outlet adapters are much more accessible for AAA batteries compared to button cell batteries

This is one of those figures that should be priced at $100 but because it's a HT it automatically defaults to $300. I would love to have in my collection but would never spend the $315 CAN asking price.

I was lucky enough to get the sideshow battle droids two pack brown and tan for less then this figure with a Cody and they where never opened. Good will had no clue what they had. It's not as tall as I was expecting.

It's not a bad looking figure, but the lack of any diecast parts is disappointing. I'll add one to the collection to represent the battle on Geonosis. I also thought it would be a little taller.

I ordered 1 of these. There are a lot of things from the Clone movies that were very much inspired by Fifth Element. The scene of Kenobi and Anakin chasing through the city was almost shot by shot of the chase in Fifth Element.

It looks great and all, but I really can't get passed that they painted the "nose" a different color then the rest of the figure. It's not accurate.

The Mandalorian SBD that Hot Toys/Sideshow had on display at Celebration a couple years ago was quite a bit bigger as I remember it, and it looked very gunmetal and impressive. This one looks really cool too but not nearly as impressive as I remember it.

I don't know...for the price and limitations of this figure, it should have been diecast. I would also like to see better packaging/presentation as far as these plastic shells go. For as much as they cost, I want to feel like I'm opening something special every time. Not just when it's a DX or diecast figure 🤷‍♂️

@JedhaPatrol When a figure feels very light and plastic like, I always get disappointed especially for the price these things are. It just doesn't feel very good in the hands. IMO Droids should all be Diecast or better yet a mix like Robocop to get that premium feeling. It isn't asking alot when every damn Iron Man is Diecast nowadays.

I do think that for 150 euros i would buy this one. But just like the B1 battle droid, these are just side side side character, nothing really exiting about these, and i mean they do not look cool like clone armour or hoth rebels that are also in a way very side character too. Making them non diecast and pricing them as normal figure is just bullshit from hot toys. Non diecast for 150 why not, full die cast for 300 might be cool too, but you cannot really do both.

So like $270+ after tax and shipping for an all plastic droid that Mattel could sell for $50. Paint job is nice, but with a crappy display, horrible battery setup, and plastic build this is a solid pass. I hope people that get this are genuinely happy with it, but this is a classic lazy figure by HT.

I prefer the AAA bateries than the pill ones ... for sure they last waaay longer. The mando scene was beyond cringy ... if they were supposed to run like that, why the hell didn't they do that before instead of marching? Mando season 3 was a disgrace. Regarding the figure, I think that based on built quality, difficulty of the figure and accesories, they should be cheaper.

Looks cheap yet these KZbinrs will continue to say they’re great despite the insane price increases and promote these shady companies because they get free figures from them and when you say something on their community or Facebook group they’ll block you like this one hahaha
