Fun Facts: The symbol and color scheme are based on Julia Carpenter's Spider-Woman. Peter liked her costume and was thinking about it at the time he found the suit, not knowing it was alive. The whole concept of the Symbiote evolved over time, eventually becoming Venom. However, at first, it was just a cool alien material suit.

It was originally meant to just be a stealth suit, which funny enough, my teacher's roommate, Randy Schueller, designed and submitted as part of a competition back in 1982. The symbiote aspect came later on by 1984 prior to Venom's full introduction, as mentioned above. Very cool history for this piece!

Very nice review, glad that Hono Studios can still provide a great spidey figure with lower cost. I was hesitate to pick up the new homemade suit Spidey from Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man because it's the first figure Hono Studios made for a MCU property. While I still want to see your figure preview video before I make my final decision, this release does makes me confident to pick that up!

I’m so glad I preordered this symbiote spidey. At first I was skeptical about the spider logo on the suit for peeling but I doubt that’ll happen. Look forward to getting this.

Thanks for the review. I was also nervous about my pre-order, but seeing it in your turntable is quite a relieve. Good to see that the black material is really dark. You are right- there is no way Hono won't leverage on this. Like you said, one with blue highlights is a logical choice. Also any spiderman costume that don't have web pattern are easy choices like the alt universe miles that have the same pattern but red instead of white, fantastic 4 suit, that alt peter black and red suit with different patterns, etc.

I've been making my own wired webs for my Spider-Man figures for years now, using insulated electrical wires that I wrap with white thread and hot glue strands. I wonder it they've used the same base for their wired web lines here.

Excellent review! I prefer the smaller lenses but the bigger ones make him look more sinister like carnage. Also after what you pointed out I think I could wait for the blue shaded version of the costume since there's a pretty good likelihood they'll do it

Thanks for another great review. When this was first solicited it looked like an easy pass for me as it was too skinny. Since seeing the improvements, I got on Sideshow’s waitlist a day after it waitlisted. It would be great to have a poseable Spider-Man where I didn’t have to worry about wrecking the suit. Even though I love my videogame classic version of Spidey, I am still looking forward to an eventual spandex classic version from HONO using this body.

I love the idea but i just don't like the suit material, I think they should of gone with the same material as the PS5 one but with a totally smooth finish and a blue tint, But i'd love them to use that body and same material to make a comic book Steve Ditko Spider-Man that would be awesome!
